This is a openVPN server that you can use to create your own VPN network. It will be free for you to use for a limited time (at least for a year) and you can also choose if you want to support the project financially by donating.

What is it? A VPN is a Virtual Private Network that allows you to connect to a remote network through a secure tunnel. This means that you can access all resources on the remote network as if you were connected to your local network.

This is useful if you have a private network at home or want to share resources across different networks and/or countries. How to use it? This server runs on the OpenVPN protocol which means it's easy to use. OpenVPN is also a very secure protocol.

The server is configured in OpenVPN config format and I've included my config files in the download to help you to get up and running quickly. It's fairly easy to follow and you can configure it in a few minutes.

Such as, when your OS updates, some parts of the original software won't be compatible with the latest version of your OS which may cause further issues or even crash your application.

If you don't have to worry about OpenVPN protocol compatibility with the latest OS versions, then you are free to try any other VPN software/hardware other than OpenVPN's Windows software. Just make sure you're not being exploited if you're running an OpenVPN server on your personal device such as a laptop, because you'll be giving away your information to the government/company you connect to/through if they are able to hack your OS.

Today, I would like to share a tutorial that will help you learn how to create a VPN server using OpenVPN. The tutorial is divided into three parts. The first one explains what a VPN server is, the next one describes how to install and configure OpenVPN, and the last one presents an example VPN server using OpenVPN.

What is a VPN server? A VPN server is a network device which implements the VPN protocol. A VPN server accepts connections from VPN clients and sends the traffic through its own network interface to the actual destination. It can be a stand-alone device or a part of a larger network infrastructure.

A VPN server can act as a gateway for different networks, eg it can connect the LAN network to the Internet. A VPN server can also be placed in the middle between two networks, eg a remote company network and a corporate network.

Here is a diagram that illustrates a typical VPN server implementation: To be able to connect to your VPN server, a client should know a static IP address of your VPN server. This address can be provided by a DHCP server, by a router with DHCP enabled, or can be determined using DNS queries. Alternatively, your client can use a dynamic DNS service that will update its address automatically.
