I have a 5GB mobile hotspot and it is almost full.

When I connect my iPad to the hotspot, it says it only has 1GB left. I am planning on buying another 5GB mobile hotspot. Should I buy a 5GB or a 2GB?

I have an AT&T data plan with 3GB of mobile hotspot. If you are not using it all, you should be able to get 3GB more data per month. If you are using it all, it will fill up in less than a month.

That depends on if you are going to use the hotspot all the time or not. If you are going to use it most of the time, then you should get a bigger one.

It also depends on if you are going to be using your iPad on wifi or on your cellphone carrier's data network. If you are using your iPad on wifi only, a 5GB should be fine. It will give you plenty of time to use your other devices.

If you are going to use your iPad on your cellphone carrier's data network, then you should get a 2GB mobile hotspot because that will be used for downloading the apps and accessing the web, and you are not going to be able to use your iPad's wifi at the same time. For example, if you have a 1GB plan, and you are going to be using your phone on the carrier's data network and your iPad on wifi, you will only have 1GB for using your iPad. You can also get a prepaid hotspot with 2GB or 5GB, but that's not as convenient. Do you need a hotspot? I have a 1gb hotspot. I don't use it as a hotspot though. I use it as a tethering device. It's not that I don't need it. I just don't use it. I was thinking of getting a 2gb hotspot. But, when I read through the answers, I realized that I don't really need it. We're almost a month into the 5G era here in the U.

S., but it isn't quite clear how much data the new networks will be able to deliver, and at what price, given the lack of widespread access to T-Mobile's 5G network.

And now, the first wave of 5G devices are finally available. The first wave include smartphones like the Essential Phone, Huawei Mate 20 X, and LG V50 ThinI've had a chance to play with the Essential Phone and LG V50 ThinQ, and I'm excited to see how they perform with 5G.

But first, let's talk about T-Mobile. What is T-Mobile's 5G network? Before I talk about the 5G hotspots, I should clarify that T-Mobile isn't offering real 5G service, because it doesn't have any cellular sites on their own land yet. For the time being, 5G is mostly limited to certain areas of T-Mobile's coverage area: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, and Sacramento.

Those areas tend to be covered by the carrier's small cells, which is basically just a bunch of towers placed up close to one another and interconnected via mesh. It's a type of cellular network that also uses lower frequencies, but in general smaller than the traditional cellular antennas. The technology promises higher capacity with less bandwidth, since you don't need as much data to be transmitted over the air.

This is only a very preliminary form of 5G if you think it's just a glorified 4G for rural America, you'd be mistaken. It's actually faster, with theoretically unlimited data. I'm not here to proclaim it as anything great; I'll talk about that in a bit. I'm here to talk about speed.

When I was setting up my modem/router for 5G LTE, it asked me to do a factory reset.

I went to the menu, selected Factory Reset, and then when it asked me what to do with my modem/router, I selected Do not connect, I don't need a factory reset. After the reset, everything works fine. I can browse the internet and other things, and can download things with my hotspot.

I'm wondering if I did something wrong that will slow down my 5G mobile hotspot, because it's not fast. I've done a speed test, and the results are really bad. Does anyone know what I did wrong? Or am I going to have to unplug my 5G mobile hotspot and plug it back in? @doug, I also had a problem with my laptop's internet connection not working at first. It has worked fine ever since. If I remember correctly, I had to download some software to make the connection work, and I think it was named "Internet Connection Sharing", or something like that. I don't remember the name of the software, but it was pretty easy to use. It came from the Microsoft website, so you might be able to find it there.

I don't know how to check your connection speed at this point. Is it a problem with the router or the modem or both? If the modem is a Motorola device, it may already have some form of wireless security enabled.
