I have tried a lot of things, but nothing has worked so far.

I think you're mistaken that you have to use Hotspot Shield. Hotspot Shield doesn't force you to watch content from them. You're watching content that you have to pay for, so it can't be downloaded by Hotspot Shield because it isn't free. What you do is click a button to watch the content.

You can still download it yourself and save it to your computer. Then run the program.
