What MLB teams will be on Amazon Prime?
Here's how it breaks down (as of 11/27)
It's that time of year again, the time when we all take stock in what went right, wrong and most importantly, ugly with the teams in our fantasy baseball leagues. As teams battle for postseason positioning, the trade deadline will come and go, but if you have not been keeping track of how well Amazon Prime has performed with your favorite teams, you are still stuck in the mud! What are the hottest teams for the streaming service? What teams are being dropped? What ones are being added? Let's look at how well MLB has done so far (as of 11/27) on Amazon Prime: As of 11/27, here are the teams ranked from hottest to coldest for streaming. Hot Team: Yankees. When it comes to our streaming service, the New York Yankees is the team everyone picks when ranking up-and-coming. In fact, every streaming service goes through this same process and we are no exception. After years of mediocrity, a lineup loaded with talent and the added benefit of being a playoff contender, it is difficult not to list the Yankees as one of the streaming services' hot teams.

A few notes on some things not yet announced but I think are coming: iPad support. Apple fans can use AirPlay to receive games directly to their connected device (AirPlay must be active on that device, too), and it's expected they will also have access to Live Game support.
A multi-user account. I could imagine someone wanting to take MLB.TV on the road could setup all of their family accounts on just a single iPhone or iPad.
In addition to all of that above, as much I wish you could do it, I doubt the ability to buy anything online with credit card information will continue when you pay to watch games live (assuming you are connected to MLB Network). It will still allow you to get to their My MLB Account section and download or upload video clips, stats, etc but not purchase anything, unfortunately.
I'm so happy for the change. The best and most fun thing I've ever done as a sports fan was watching the Red Sox in 2025 & 2025 we watched Game 6 at midnight in the living room and were glued to the tv as if it were 4 in the morning.
Now with MLB Tv we get to do it even more! The MLB. As far as I know, they will be offering access to more games in the new package (not confirmed) I live in Hawaii and have been having issues with my internet package and MLB.tv is usually the easiest and best way of watching games at home.

In an era of technology integration the internet provides a new medium for fan engagement. In this new age of media accessibility, sports fans are able to become instant broadcasters, giving voice to opinions, emotions and experiences that may not otherwise receive much of a spotlight. One of the hottest topics discussed in baseball circles is the rise of social media, an idea that has the chance to revolutionize the game just as it has in the realm of college sports.
As the average age of baseball fans increases, teams are doing their best to keep up with their audience. Last year the Pittsburgh Pirates saw the biggest increase among major league clubs and decided to jump on the social media bandwagon as well. They've come to be the leading representative of what's next in baseball as they integrate Twitter and Facebook into their traditional media coverage and player interviews.
It has been over 100 years since baseball began to take advantage of a burgeoning national media presence, but the sport is still a very intimate one where fan engagement remains prevalent. In 2025, there were 5.4 million followers on ESPN.com and 13.2 million on the New York Yankees' site. And while Twitter continues to grow at the rate of 70-100 million users every month, these numbers do not necessarily reflect the growth of real time social media as it relates to baseball.
According to a recently released study, social media is now more popular in a baseball city than local television for the first time. MLB Network now airs 10 games a week featuring highlights of the afternoon's action and postgame studio programming that includes weekly interviews with front office executives, managers, players and coaches. It airs seven of those games nationally, and three nationally locally.
