How do I fix VPN stuck on connecting?

How do I fix VPN stuck on connecting?

I have a VPN with my isp.

It connects fine for the first time but every time I close and re open the connection I get the error message that says VPN connection failed. I have tried restarting my computer but it still won't work. I have also tried to remove the VPN connection from network manager but it doesn't work either. I have a linksys router and the isp is comcast.

My problem is that I am getting tired of constantly having to go online and disconnect/reconnect. The other day I was at the hospital and all my data had disconnected and when I got back to my house I just had to reconnect everything. It is very annoying and frustrating.

Hi,You should do the following: . 1) Turn off your VPN server. You can do this by clicking on the 'VPN Connections' icon in Network Manager. Select the VPN connection and click the button which says "Turn Off" on the right hand side of the window.

2) Logout from your desktop. The same way you log out from a web browser. You can do this by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Log Out.

3) Restart your computer. You can do this by either restarting the computer from the desktop or by using the power button on your computer.

I have an issue where I get a message when I try to connect to a VPN, saying "The VPN connection failed." It seems to happen only in certain cases, and even when I restart my PC and try to connect again, it's just a re-iteration of the same message.

My VPN connection used to work, but now it doesn't work anymore. I'm using a Linksys router and a Netgear VPN. I don't get an error message when I connect. It just hangs after I type in the password.

I am connected to a corporate VPN at my company. When I'm at home, I use the same connection at home. When I try to use the same connection at work, it fails. I tried changing the DNS servers to 8.8 and 8.4 and that did not help.

How to connect to a VPN using network manager? I think you have to enter your username and password for the connection.

How do I activate McAfee VPN on my phone?

?I'm not seeing much discussion on this here, and I'd appreciate any tips on how I can resolve this issue. The only way to get the device connected was to use the computer attached to the router to set up a VPN connection (and it took several attempts). Then the phone will connect to the router IP address, but not any others available on my network or the one provided by the router.

The steps below allow a user who is not on the same router as the endpoint to log in without knowing the VPN IP address that the endpoint is providing. However, on the phone side, the endpoints will not work. I'm hoping to determine if the endpoint I'm connected to on the router side can be configured to provide an endpoint for remote users to connect.

Here's the steps that have been tried: Log into the remote router with the endpoints IP address. You'll need your router's default username and password (usually admin/admin).

Configure Remote Access. From the Remote Access page, change the Client mode to Connect without a client certificate or password. Configure a VPN from a new category. Set the Protocol type to IPSec and the Remote access protocol to L2TP Tunneling. Specify My VPN and choose Automatic (DHCP) for DHCP and DNS settings. Use Server: routeripaddress. Enter My LAN as the location of the VPN. Note that this field is not working. See the below image for a screenshot that explains how that field behaves.

Click OK. This will create a local LAN endpoint for you with a name such as vpn.mylan.local and provide a local IP address 192.168.100.25. This endpoint will fail to work for connecting to other remote devices on the network but will provide a gateway for you to connect to via remote devices, using the device at 192.
