Why? I have a ps4 at home, and for various reasons, I need to be able to turn off the internet connectivity on my cable modem. Usually when I turn the internet off, I'm home all day, with just the occasional need to go out.

You can then enter a proxy IP address and port. Alternatively, you can use the IP of the router/modem and check with the router/modem's management console.
