We've had to pull this list together over the past few months.

We asked you, the Netflix community, to tell us what you're loving and loving to watch, and which series are making the cut. A lot of great stuff came in, as we suspected would be the case: some of our favourites made the cut and others didn't. We also realised that some series on Netflix have been overlooked recently and we want to share them with the world.

Here are our top 10 recommendations from last year, followed by the most requested new additions for 2025. To vote for your new favourite, head to the poll below.

Stranger Things has quickly become one of the biggest pop culture phenomenons on Netflix. With great characters, an intriguing mystery at its centre, and an excellent balance of humour, action, and creepiness, the show is a real treat for anyone who has ever loved the TV show The Goonies.

Big Mouth (Season 1). Season one of Big Mouth might have been one of the best new shows of the past year, blending music, comedy, and smart conversation in perfect harmony. The Umbrella Academy (Season 1). The Umbrella Academy is a wonderful series that explores the dark world of superheroes with both heart and intelligence. The best episodes of this series are so dark and twisted, and sometimes beautiful, you won't know what hit you.

Sense8 (Season 1). Sense8 follows eight strangers from around the world, all having the same sense of dj vu and a shared ability to see the Sense 8, the eight people who will change their lives forever. If you like sci-fi, you must try this incredible show.

Bojack Horseman (Season 4). Created by Will Arnett, Bojack Horseman is brilliant comedy that tackles a variety of topics through the witty mind of Bojack Horseman, the self-loathing horse, and his friends and family. Season four delivered some phenomenal stories, all written by Bojack himself.

The 2025 baseball season is well underway and as usual we at TZP have you covered. With the season kicking off in less than a month we are going to start doing these Top Three articles where we will rank our favorite teams from the beginning of the MLB season to the present moment. This is Tom Zaleski (@TomZaleski), David Adler (@totalfangraphs), Andrew Pentis (@apentis10), and Kyle Amore (@KyleAmore). TOP THREE SERIES. 1) Washington Nationals vs Atlanta Braves (2016). We were all on the same page that starting the series off would be the best. For the home opener at Nationals Park on Tuesday, August 12th, Washington had their sights set on an opening day win over Atlanta. Unfortunately the Braves took advantage and started a 6-0 run in the first inning. The Nats' bats could not put up much against Atlanta starter Stephen Glynn. They only recorded four hits in the whole game which was enough to make Nationals fans sweat. But the Nats showed good character that game, scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to pull off a 16-14 win in the opener.

Fast forward one week and the Nats still had plenty of baseball left. So to open up NLDS 1 against Atlanta again. The Nats came away with another win over Atlanta, and the series opener last Friday, August 23rd was once again exciting. The Nats got off to a great start, scoring 10 runs in the top of the third against Atlanta starter Sean Newcomb. By the end of the 3rd, the 'Nats had taken the early 3-0 lead.

In the fifth inning there was an amazing defensive play at third. The winning run scored from third with the infield fly rule applying because the ball was in.

The Top 10 TV series ever? No, we don't mean the last ten episodes of your favourite show. We're talking about the greatest TV series ever. The best series ever in all its many forms. The one with the most unforgettable characters and the funniest lines. The one that made you laugh so hard you cried. The one that you can watch every single day for the rest of your life without getting bored. The show that will stay with you forever. And the show you can never forget. It doesn't matter if it's an American drama or a British comedy or an Italian opera, all these shows stand the test of time. They're the best because they're the best.

The list is not definitive and, like all lists of the best, it may leave out great shows that we would love to include. However, we've tried to keep the following criteria in mind: The show should be timeless. There should be a large number of episodes. We've chosen shows with a broad appeal rather than niche shows. It should have been on television rather than only released on DVD. It must have been broadcast in at least one English-speaking country. We've used our own judgement rather than looking at the BFI or Rotten Tomatoes lists of the best. The list is in no particular order. The Simpsons (1989). (Image: Fox). The Simpsons has a lot going for it - the cast are great, the animation is superb and there's a broad appeal. But above all, the show is a brilliant satire. Everyone who watches it knows exactly what it's lampooning. The show is funny because it's very, very funny.

24 (2001-2010). (Image: Fox). I'm only half joking when I say that the concept of 24 was to turn all TV into an action movie. 24 had no time for plot, character or setting. It was all about the action.

What is the best series at the moment?

I feel as if this is the time for a bit of a rewind and have a look back at what the most popular anime of the last five years have been.

Some are more popular than others, but there are some that really stand out to me and really deserve a mention. This list might change in ten years time, when we are looking back to see what was popular. There are not just one or two shows on this list, but many! So lets get straight into it shall we?

10 Best Anime Series of the Last Five Years. The Last Airbender. I have not seen this show, and will be adding this to my watch list after this post, but you can have a good idea of its premise from all the hype, and it has a cast I really want to see. It's hard to be critical of this show, as it's an epic tale of friendship, brotherhood, and revolution in a world beyond what we know. That's something all of us could identify with. So long as the rest of the series can keep up the epic quality of this TV series, I'm excited to be watching it.

Rurouni Kenshin. Now lets see which popular anime series of recent years will make the cut. The first one here is Rurouni Kenshin, a TV adaptation of The Romance of The Three Stooges' Comic Book Series. There is no doubt that Kenshin is one of the best 'anime' that I have ever watched, which is saying something. It's such a shame that there were no other shows worthy of adapting later, as this is what is was so good for. As a comic book guy, I also really enjoyed Kenshin a lot. One thing you notice about Rurouni Kenshin though is that it doesn't have what you would call big characters. However, the story is so great that it's really worth watching and experiencing. It deserves to be on this list.

Baccano! Next is Baccano! From the moment I saw this opening with four crazy people who were going to blow shit up, I knew I had to watch this. The animation was so beautiful and the action was fast paced.
