How to find out Wi-Fi password with IP address?
I have a Wi-Fi network of about 50-60 users.
I'm looking for a tool that can provide me a list of devices connected to the network with their MAC address, IP address and Wi-Fi password(s).
The reason is that we will have some computers that are not always connected to the network, and the owner may forget to configure the MAC address for it. So what I need is a tool to find all devices on the network with their MAC address, IP address and their WLAN passwords.
Is there any good free software available for Windows 7 and Vista? For anyone who still searches for this. The app called "Wi-Fi Inspector" will do exactly that.
There's one open source solution that can do what you are looking for - Wifi-Honeypot. It's based on passive listening and can detect other computers connected to your network and show you their mac address, IP address and password. It's available as a portable application but you'll have to run it in a virtual machine if you don't have physical access to the target machine.
Wireless Network Analyzer allows you to check the MAC address and IP address of connected wireless clients.
Can I see the Wi-Fi password if I'm connected to it?
If you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, you should be able to see the password for that network.
If you are on a mobile phone or tablet, your device may ask you to enter the Wi-Fi password before you can access the Internet. This is an optional step to ensure your device is protected. You may need to enter a four digit pin to complete this step. The password is used to connect to the Internet.
Note: The password is stored as a secure text file on the device and is not accessible from a computer. This password will change each time you connect to a different network.
I lost my password. If you have forgotten the Wi-Fi password, you must reset the password using the same steps listed above. You will be asked to provide a new password before you are allowed to reconnect to the network.
I can't find my Wi-Fi network in the list of available networks. If your Wi-Fi network is set to hidden, you may need to select it from the list of Wi-Fi networks available. You may also need to ensure that your device has a strong password set. This can help to ensure that other devices are not able to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
I can't find the address of the Wi-Fi network I am connected to. If you can see your home network's IP address, you can copy the address and paste it into your browser. When the page loads, you should be able to see the IP address and domain name. You can also see your device's IP address on the bottom right corner of the page.
Note: You must have a secure connection to a router for the Wi-Fi network to appear in the browser. If you do not have a secure connection, your network will not appear on the web page.
The network name you entered into the browser is not the correct name. To ensure that you are connecting to the correct network, the network name you enter into your browser should be the same as the name that was previously displayed on the screen. The network name you entered into the browser is different to the name displayed on the device.
