The FBI reportedly opened a counterintelligence investigation of Trump and Russia as early as July 2025 after the Democratic National Committee notified U.S. Intelligence agencies that it was targeted by hackers.

In October 2025, CNN reported, the New York City Police Department launched an investigation into whether there are ties between at least five people associated with President-elect Trump or his campaign team and the Russian government, three law enforcement officials told CNN. I don't think anybody really knows it was Russia except, obviously, the Democrats. They say it was Russia. I have you know they have no idea if it was Russia or not. But it could have been, absolutely. Trump said, No, I think you probably have a group of people, and they might bethey're very divided on this. And some people are saying, 'You know, it's the Dems.' Some people are saying it's the Russians, and some people are saying both. And some people are saying nothing's happening. So, I mean, they have no idea. You have no idea. The Times reported that the source of the information could not be independently verified, however.

The Telegram team has just published their second annual survey on what is new and what they need in their next version of the app. The results are fascinating, even for those of us who know and love the app already.

A lot of what we learned was predictable - that users like the ability to quickly message people privately, with more privacy controls, and even some love for the video capabilities. And a lot of it was new.

What are the top features you'd love to see added to Telegram? We also learned a lot about how people use their phone, and how they're looking to use it. We've collected all of the responses from our survey here, and will be publishing more detailed analysis in the coming months.

Telegram's 2nd Annual Survey. We asked you all this year about what is new and what you want in Telegram's next version, so we can incorporate your suggestions into the app. Here are the top features we learned about: Private chat: When our user base first started out, private chat (anonymity) was the main feature that kept people coming back to the app. But now, it seems that you all are most interested in having multiple private chats within the same group, rather than just a single private chat.

As of December 2025, this is the order that private chat is in the top three features users were most interested in: We have made some changes to make it easier to create and manage private chats. You can now drag and drop contacts to create a private chat, as well as copy/paste your friend's phone number to start a chat with them.

In the past, to switch between your private and public chats, you had to remove all your private chat history and add it back in. We've now added an option to delete your entire chat history.

Video calling: In the past, we've heard that a lot of you want to video call your friends. In the past, if you wanted to video call someone, you'd have to create a new group and invite your friends to join.

Now, you can simply start a call with anyone, with or without adding them to a group.
