With all the talk about free streaming over the internet, could MLB.TV be headed out of business? We're not sure what Apple TV will have to say about this, but there's a good chance that MLB.TV can stand on its own two feet. Major League Baseball is committed to having live games in the digital age. Then they need to expand their team rosters a bit more than just adding the 3 new major league players. Why are there only 32 teams, no more?

I was looking forward to getting this service, I have watched baseball for over 45 years, and I have always enjoyed watching at home on tv, this was to be my outlet for that, but nope. And the price did not change. No cheaper option either, why? I know you guys have to get their cut. I'm willing to pay that cost to watch games in High Def, but it had better work on all my devices.

@ErickD. It sounds like you had a bad experience, that is understandable. It took us 2 years to figure out this one as well. If you're willing to pay the right price and you have a solid internet connection, you should not have an issue. We'll see where things stand once we're into Spring Training.

Can I buy MLB.TV for just one team?

I am a new subscriber to MLB.

TV and wanted to try it out. I was trying to figure out how I would need to buy the package for one or two teams since I don't have many teams to watch. Is there a way I can only buy MLB.TV for just 1 or 2 of my teams? If not, do I have to subscribe to MLB.TV for each team I want to watch and then cancel?tv and ESPN apps. Does anyone know how I can get around this?

Please do not ask me to put in a request to become part of this program in another forum, it is a non-commercial, non-profit, website that is run and supported by volunteers and your support is appreciated! As MLB.TV provides a streaming service, I would suggest using your tablet, smart phone or computer and watching on that rather than your Apple TV. It's very simple and takes minutes to setup. I've only used the iPad so far but the PC version should be very similar.

Thank you for the reply. In my case I do have multiple teams to watch. My concern was that I couldn't do this through MLB. So when I asked them about adding multiple teams they just gave me a "no".

Com claim that this is not the case? Is this true? Are there some restrictions on MLB.TV? I just tried getting a Prime membership, but it does not currently appear to be "free".99/month for it to be free.

However, when I bought my account from Amazon, at that time it was free. So, to answer your question, you could have purchased it (and get 1 year of free access to MLB.

That said, you can now get a one month free trial (but have to pay then). If you cancel during this month, you'll get free access for one additional month.
