What is the local proxy port for Psiphon?

How do I fix Psiphon failed to set system proxy settings?

Psiphon is a great tool for all that VPN needs, one which works great.

So far I have enjoyed the service of this company; but I am currently running into an issue with it's proxy settings feature that I am trying to find some resolution on how to fix. The error I get is (see image) and I believe it is related to my browser.

I found a few articles on the internet stating that the application has been updated on some browsers but the error does not appear to go away or change. So my question would be, how can I fix this problem, if there is a known solution to such a problem that I am unaware of.

I apologize in advance for any bad language in the post. I'm trying to make my posts more presentable by not using slang.

Psiphon is using the OS specific "Advanced DNS (Teredo)" setting. As per the FAQ this will fail if you don't set that in the device's firewall rules. You need to uncheck "Allow Teredo" in the system firewall. For Mac this was called the Firewall Rules. If you can find that in the device manual or find it on the web page linked from Teredo then it should give you the location in the manual/page. (Google it).

How to setup Psiphon on Android?

Step 1: Turn Psiphon on.

Psiphon is free and always will be. You need it for accessing the internet with anonymity and a virtual private network connection but you can get that by using WiFi or other methods, however there is currently only one paid service.99/mo to get a lifetime subscription! Paying online via credit card is very easy. If you are not a member of www.cvcity.com you need to go to the sign up page for an account.

Click here to sign up for Psiphon on www.com (opens a popup) Select which operating system you use as your preferred one. Click create account now (the default option is fine). If you are logged in your Psiphon account will already be activated. Go to your apps list (if you are using Android tablet you may need to go into settings). Scroll down and click search - you should see Psiphon in the results, it might be hidden if you have not recommended apps enabled under settings - scroll down and change settings to hide all apps that you don't use.

Psiphon's apps may automatically download updates if you have not visited the website in a while. You will need to do this for each Psiphon app you want to use. The above is what your Psiphon setup looks like. Now what I would normally do is go to the website and add a new VPN, but if your mobile network provider doesn't know how to set up Psiphon on Android phones. We recommend turning on the Psiphon browser and just navigate to www.psiphon. If you don't see a browser window open in the Psiphon site, it is likely that there is a problem, such as no service provider knows how to configure Psiphon on Android phones so a new browser window may not show up in the psiphon site.

This will display the login page but it could take some time if it is new to your phone. Psiphon can be configured in many ways and for many different devices, but most of them follow the steps below.
