Can you eat Libby's Vienna sausage without cooking?
Recommended Posts.
My husband is so obsessed with eating sausage that he will not eat anything without it. I cannot blame him; when I was little, my mother would feed me raw chicken hearts from the bottom of the stock pot. So, I have not grown up too normal in this regard and love sausage like a fat man loves doughnuts.
If we go out for a meal or out to eat, I sometimes order sausage and try to just pick at it while enjoying the rest of my food. I am sure I am not the only one in this situation. I do get sick of eating it so I try to find some way to cook it and not eat it raw. Can anyone help me out? If you can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I use to do that all the time - when dining out at 'mom & pop' places it was a requirement that there be one piece of meat on the plate (unless, of course, they were an actual deli, rather than actually a bistro). I am one of those people. When we go out to dinner I want to enjoy all the other food that I ordered plus eat the sausage. That's why when we go to a restaurant I ask them to make my sausage "not cooked". I'm afraid that once I cook it, I will no longer eat it raw. I don't think I could go with the sausage to go but eating it raw sounds lovely!
