The voice remote works well if you use the Roku voice search. If you're planning to watch your shows on a device such as an iPhone or Android phone or tablet, you'll need to enter the code manually instead.

In the navigation menu, find the channel that corresponds to the show. Click "View Options" and then click "Channels Settings." Scroll to the top of the navigation menu and locate the option for "Change Channels By Code."

If you don't know what channel is playing, select "All Channels" in the top right corner of the screen instead. You'll then see a grid of all the available channels and their codes. Select the channel that corresponds to the show that you want to watch. If you see the title of the show displayed in the grid, it's playing! Scroll down the screen and you can add or delete any particular channel as well as play it automatically.

Tips & Warnings. You'll need an internet connection to use the voice remote to set channels. You must have your current account information on file to get voice remote access to certain channels. Selecting shows with the voice remote may be a little slower than the standard remote control, but it does work. The voice remote is very easy to use and is perfect for people with speech issues.

The device has 8GB of memory storage but there's a limit to the number of channels you can save one device. The Roku will allow you to save 4,800 channels, so if you have a lot to choose from, you're most likely out of luck.
