Does anybody know if there are any promotions or free airmail offers to apply for? Does anybody know if you can combine free shipping with promo codes? Because I know free shipping always comes with a promo code but if I can combine them that would be awesome. In this case it would be an extra pound of free shipping and an extra pound off the promo code If the shipping is not part of an item(s) total, you can get free shipping if you buy that particular item. If it is a promo code item you have to buy one of that item, they'll give you one free, but it doesn't need to be yours, just something in your cart. There are different limits for different items, but it's pretty standard. The only thing is you may need to ship to a different address, but not all items are eligible for a separate address. In this case it would be an extra pound of free shipping and an extra pound off the promo code

Is Airmail app worth it?

It's been a long time since I posted any content about Airmail on the forum.

I've got a few reasons for that.

As an iOS engineer I'm usually building out new features for Xcode while I sleep. For the last couple of years the biggest concern people had with the project was the email size limitation. It was about 2 giga bytes which is quite a big limitation for modern apps. That made it rather unlikely that AirMail will ever really take off or be useful in practice. At one point in 2025 when I decided to rework the original iOS implementation I figured I need to re-propose it with a much higher limit. Turns out 2 gigs turned out to be more than enough. In my current implementation (and most of the new features) my maximum emails size now scales up to 128Mb. However this may be only a little less than all my current subscribers. I may even be looking to bump it up further if this turns out to be the case.

There's no longer a need to be concerned with email size limitation. And with the release of iOS 9, many of us have access to iCloud servers that can easily store an email of that size. And that might just make an app like this worthwhile.

I think there are a couple of very good reasons AirMail is still worth it. It has its niche among a small group of email users. Many people get their mail on the go with their smartphone, but they don't want to be tethered to a data connection and they're not willing to rely on a cloud based provider. It gives them a secure and reliable way to send small amounts of email without having to worry about being able to access the internet on their device. If you're one of those people then this is probably one of the few apps on the App Store that actually fits your need.

The second niche is that it was written before Google Play Services was enabled. Those who remember the early days of AirMail will recall that there was always something up with the Google servers. It used to be that Google would periodically change its TOS so that developers could no longer access GMail account. And when that happened they stopped supporting the app. This might have been bad for consumers, but it wasn't good for developers.
