I was using the Microsoft Security Essentials program in my computer for a while now.

It was not detecting a malware and it was doing good job. But, last week I got an email in my hotmail account from Norton support team about that their free support ended and there is an option to buy Norton products for you and there will be a 30% discount. So, as a Microsoft Security Essentials fan I downloaded the product. But after downloading it didn't work! It said "Error: You cannot open this product because the program you are trying to use is part of Microsoft Office" and my system stopped working. (Windows 7 64-bit)

Then I got to know there are three different products called Norton Power Eraser and Power Eraser Pro. Do I need to install all the three products? Also, I am confused about the price of Norton Power Eraser. Is it a one time purchase for lifetime?

The problem is resolved! I don't need to install 3 products at once! They were asking me to do a full system backup and then they are fixing the problem.
