The name "Proxify" comes from its use of a web proxy for security, to obscure real IPs and to hide user agent string. Proxify remote works the same way, and it's intended for use with web-based software for running jobs.

Is Proxify secure? Absolutely! Proxify uses HTTPS and HTTP Proxy headers which keep the data inside the Proxify network. You can read more about Proxify security in our FAQ, but briefly, your data is encrypted and stored by us. It cannot be accessed without your permission. Any data sent to the Proxify server is forwarded back through SSL so your password or other private data isn't exposed.

Will it work for all my web apps? Proxify works for every web-based software that doesn't force the use of a web browser. Most email and chat clients are supported out of the box with no further configuration required. Many games/virtual world clients can also be included if you supply them with server URL, IP and port information.

Can I still use my own servers? Yes, this works as the same way as traditional web based systems where you can use your own server and host all the needed items. In these cases Proxify doesn't just change the IP but the subdomain and domain to match yours too. If your server name (eg jobs.mywebsite.com) matches the new domain name you should just be able to setup your usual hostname like jobs.com to your desired IP address (eg 172.16.23.55) and it will be just like normal usage. To get started in the example above, just set up your server at "jobs.com", connect to it, and enter the new domain as well as your IP information:

Does it break compatibility? Nope, Proxify works exactly like traditional systems by replacing the real IP address and hostname behind the scenes. You can still use your existing website tools and servers, just use the new DNS server information. So, no changes to your current application, simply a quick configuring session!
