Why is my Safari not working when I have internet?

There was a time where you could have used your cell phone as a browser, with no internet at all, but now the answer is no longer that simple.

Now, it requires that the cell phone be set up to use as a hotspot (which is pretty much impossible for the most part, but I'll explain it shortly).

I have a laptop which is set up to use it as a hotspot when I am in a wifi hot-spot. Then, I can browse the internet on my macbook pro, and see my work website through Safari.e. I have my iPhone set up in the same way as the macbook, so if I leave the macbook, and walk away, I will still be able to surf the internet using Safari on my phone.

My problem arises when I am trying to get connected to the internet while I am in a hotspot, or when I am in a wifi hot-spot but don't want to use my cellular data. Because of this, I need to be able to use my laptop as a hotspot without going online. I currently have my laptop set to work as a hotspot, but if I go into my browser settings on the laptop and try to disable it, nothing happens. When I enter the setting, nothing happens at all. What do I do to make this happen?

To turn off the hotspot on your phone, go to Settings > Wireless and networks > Cellular > Wi-Fi > Hotspot. Click on the Wi-Fi connection, and select the option for No Wi-Fi hotspot. Alternatively, you can use the control centre, or even go to the command line using the "Connections" terminal. The following Terminal commands will also turn off your hotspot.

Why Safari is not opening?

or some sites are just missing from Safari?

I'm a newbie user of Mac computers, and I've been using iSafari 7.0 on OSX 10.8.5 for quite a while now, and I've got it synced up with my Google accounts. But lately, every time I want to browse, I have to start typing and browsing, and sometimes it just doesn't work, and other times some sites won't open at all, or some sites are just missing when I try to open them in iSafari.e. Anyone ever had this problem?

Also, any suggestions for better browsers, that can help me out more with Macs? They're really not very good, but I just don't know any good ones for Macs! 2 Answers.
Google Chrome is available on the Mac App Store, and its feature set is very similar to Safari's. It should not have any issues on a Mac, and I recommend that you try it first.

If Google Chrome works for you, then I'd recommend sticking with that. Safari's rendering engine is somewhat different (more recent than Webkit and not as standards-conforming as Chrome's), so some sites will look very different in Safari and in Chrome. In that case, Chrome would be your best bet.

However, if sites look the same in both Safari and Chrome, then you may be suffering from a problem which makes Safari slow to render pages. This could be a problem with OSX's graphics drivers, Flash (which is installed by default on OSX), Java plugin, Java runtime or a problem with your Mac's memory.

In order to address all of these, I suggest that you try running the built-in application 'Reset SMC' from Apple Menu > Utilities > Reset SMC. It'll take a few minutes to run, but afterwards you'll hopefully see how much of an improvement this could make to the performance of your computer. If you want to get better graphical effects, you can try booting into Safe mode and running System Profiler > Reset SMC. This is a bit more involved. Check out my answer to this question for a walk-through on how to do that: How do I boot into Safe mode on Mac?

In short, the safest way is to boot into Safe mode and use the built-in reset utility.

How do I reset Safari on my iPhone 11?

This page explains how to reset Safari and reset your phone. The first step to restoring your iPhone to a factory state.

Resetting your iPhone is not for the faint of heart. Your phone is full of confidential data including your credit cards, your contacts, your photos, your messages, your calendar, your bookmarks, and more. But it's also full of your private data too. If you've deleted something important from your iPhone, this is a great way to bring it back. If you've made changes you don't want to keep, you should try restoring from your backup first.

If you have another iOS device or an Android phone, you can use iTunes or Android Device Manager to restore. You can also restore using iCloud, but it's not always the easiest option. You can also restore using the Recovery mode, but it's a bit tricky to get to. And you can also restore using iTunes, which isn't ideal if you're using a Mac.

Step 1: Open Settings. In Settings, tap General > Reset. Your iPhone will restart, go through the standard Apple setup process, and then wipe all of its settings and data. This means that all of your personal data is completely gone, just like it was when you first turned your phone on.

Step 2: Delete the iPhone backups. If you have iCloud or iCloud Drive enabled, you'll need to delete all of the backups on your phone. You can do this by opening the iCloud app on your phone and scrolling down to find the Apple ID that appears under "iCloud". Tap on that, and then tap on the backup you want to delete. Tap Delete Backup and you're done.

If you don't have an iCloud account, you'll need to download and delete the backups using iTunes on your computer. Open iTunes, connect your phone to your computer, and click on your iPhone in the left-hand column.

You'll be presented with two options: Back Up and Restore from iCloud Backup. Select Restore from iCloud Backup and iTunes will start syncing all of your data.

You'll need to wait a while before the data is fully transferred over, but once it's done you can open the Photos app and choose Restore Backup to create a new backup.

How do I fix Safari not loading web pages on iPhone?

I'm having trouble loading web pages on the iPhone browser.

I'm trying to open a page like www.yahoo.com and it won't load. I tried opening the same page through my cell phone browser and it opens without an issue. This is happening all of the sudden.

When I try going to the homepage for Google, I am directed to google.com/mobile but it won't load any pages.

I have no access to a Mac or PC at work to troubleshoot the problem. All of my information resides on the iPhone. How do I get the browser to load web pages again?
