It looks attractive with a beautiful and modern finish of metal and glass. The overall design is similar to the older models of Google Home smart speaker. As a small speaker, it measures only 10 cm long, 1.5 cm wide and 1.2 cm deep. It weighs only 6.4 ounces.

In fact, Google Nest Hub Max was first introduced in 2025 when its predecessor was still called Nest Max. While the design is pretty much the same, this new smart speaker now comes with a higher price tag and more power. Smart features. The Nest Hub Max has a lot of great features that might be useful for your home setup. These include its ability to recognize and understand a lot of commands and queries. This is mainly done by connecting to your Google Nest account and setting up the desired smart home products. It automatically connects to the Nest Wi-Fi network or switches to the available Wi-Fi network if available. If the wireless connection fails, the device connects to your mobile network.

I recently purchased the Google Nest Hub Max because it is on Amazon's best-seller list and it seems to be the Google Assistant for kids. Its battery life is an impressive 4 hours. I've started listening to my music using a few of my favorite smart speakers, and I'm quite impressed by the sound quality, however, it isn't Google Home, Alexa, or other popular competitor. I have two questions and concerns that I want to discuss.

First, it appears that the device comes with the Google Assistant built in and can be used as a Google Chromecast? Or will I have to buy a Google Chromecast? Second, how is the battery life of the Google Nest Hub Max? Answer: The Google Nest Hub Max only comes with Google Assistant, but you can't use it as a Google Chromecast. There are two reasons for this. One is the lack of HDMI ports to plug in any device, and the other is that the device is powered by a micro USB, not by the normal USB port used for computers.

You can use the Google Nest Hub Max as a remote control for your smartphone or tablet with the ability to view the Google Nest Hub Max in full-screen mode. You'll need to be in range of your wireless network for that. However, the device is not a Wi-Fi direct computer with HDMI. You can't just plug it into your TV. But, if you own a smartphone or a tablet you can use it as a remote control for your television. When watching videos the display automatically turns off so that the Nest Hub Max can detect whether your phone is ringing or making a noise. If your phone is in silent mode you can answer it without taking out your phone from your pocket or bag. Then, when your call is over your phone will automatically return to a sleep mode so you don't need to set it up again.

The display is a 10-inch LCD HD, which is clear enough to watch movies or videos. The display even supports HDR10, an improvement over traditional HDR.
