Is Hasbro Smart r2d2 app being discontinued?
Hi guys, I was looking at the new r2d2 app that was released and it looks awesome, however it appears to be discontinued.
Hasbro has not responded on their facebook page in some time and are no longer answering questions and there are no updates on the website. Is this real? If so, is there a replacement that is up to date and still works with the droid?
The new r2d2 app seems to be very well done. I haven't tried it yet, but i'd say it's one of the better apps for the droid. The one thing that bugs me about it is that if you have more than one r2d2, you can only access them all through the main menu.
I've been using R2D2 for a couple of years now. It's really good, but I wish it didn't require root.

I have used R2D2 for many years now. I have tried other apps for the Droid and they all fail to perform as well as R2D2.
What other apps did you use? I am wondering if the people who complain about R2D2 are just having problems with their units.
Is R2-D2 a real robot?
In "The Force Awakens", Luke and Rey are training to be a new generation of Jedi.
Luke has his former mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, with him, who is teaching the two newbies.
As Luke and Obi-Wan go over a section of a wall in the hangar bay, Luke asks, "Obi-Wan, how was it, to outmaneuver the emperor and save your friend?" Obi-Wan replies, "Your training is complete. The High Council is expecting you." Obi-Wan then walks out.
In the first trailer for "The Last Jedi", Luke is on the beach and a storm has just arrived, where he sees a ship and says "There's no sign of a landing zone", as the ship flies away. So my question is: ? I think it is, because he is so humanlike and is a faithful companion to Luke Skywalker. He also seems to follow orders and can tell Luke when he needs to do something. Also, he can speak with C-3PO.
But if he is a real robot, who built him? And what is the point of him in the movie? Replies to This Discussion. If you remember the scene where Luke and Ben visit a local shop to buy an X-Wing that they can fly, and R2 and C3PO are there. R2 and C3PO were present at the beginning of the movie and they were probably built by the Jawas. Maybe the shopkeeper built them too? I'm not sure.
R2 is a "real" robot, but he is not a human-looking robot. His appearance in the movie is more of a mechanical/robotic/machine robot. His character is very much like C3PO. The thing that makes him unique is his ability to speak with Luke Skywalker. He would be more like a robot from Star Wars 2, A New Hope, or Return of the Jedi.e. The thing that makes him unique is his speaking ability.
I think it's a real robot, but he doesn't have a face, so it might be a C-3P0 type of robot. If he has a face, then it could be a droid from the Star Wars 1 movie.
How smart is R2-D2?
I'm curious to know how many times R2-D2 got outsmarted in the movies.
Does R2 ever think, "I'm being manipulated" or "I should do what the guy next to me is doing"
This question came from our site for engineers and scientists, a place where you can ask almost any interesting question about science and get great answers. It is difficult to be 100% objective on this topic, since we have seen too many movies to be able to remember the order in which the movies were released. That being said, I will be objective.
In "The Empire Strikes Back," when Darth Vader was on the platform of the AT-AT, I think it was either when he was on the left side, or when he was on the right side. I believe he was on the left side, but I am not sure.
Then, in the second movie, R2-D2 was on the left side of the bridge, and he was following the guy in the green helmet, and then he went into the bridge. I think that was at the end of the movie.
So, in "Return of the Jedi," R2-D2 was on the right side of the bridge, and he was following the guy in the black helmet. And then he went into the bridge, too.
So, in conclusion, I think R2-D2 gets outsmarted on more than one occasion in these movies.
How much is the R2-D2 droid worth?
The Star Wars character made its debut in 1977's A New Hope and remained a key part of the franchise's storyline for decades.
In the movies he's usually treated as a prop rather than a character, but R2-D2 has appeared in nearly every episode of every Star Wars TV show and movie, and the most recent spin-off film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, gave the character a key role.
The droid is owned by the 501st Legion, the official costuming organization for all things Star Wars. According to Forbes, the 501st owns roughly 70 different items from the Star Wars universe including, but not limited to, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and R2-D2.
There have been many discussions among members of the 501st about the true value of the R2-D2 droid, but they are still open to debate. There are a couple of different ways to estimate what an R2-D2 droid is worth, including determining its original retail price and comparing its current status with original characters that have not held up well.95, according to a May 1977 issue of Popular Science. The magazine later reported that no fewer than half of those who bought the R2-D2, the most popular Star Wars prop, were disappointed. The robot was used as a centerpiece to a small display that also included Stormtroopers and Darth Vader's helmet.95, according to another May issue of Popular Science. The Star Wars franchise saw a massive uptick in sales in 1977, and many of the films took off just as fast. The droid was given away to anyone who ordered it, with some notable exceptions. In the January 1978 issue of Popular Science, the magazine reported that the preordered R2-D2 has been delivered to only a very few, but the number of those customers is steadily growing.
