What Disney movies are coming out in 2024 and 2025?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Blog.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2024, I received an email message from someone who read my Disney Parks Blog columns at his local newspaper. He pointed out that there are many movies that Disney plans to release next year that will not be released in 2024. He mentioned eight titles:

Aladdin, which was scheduled for 2024. Toy Story 4, which was scheduled for 2024. Dumbo, which was scheduled for 2024. Christopher Robin, which was scheduled for 2024. Aladdin, which was scheduled for 2024. Wreck-It Ralph 2, which was scheduled for 2024. The Lion King, which was scheduled for 2024. The Jungle Book, which was scheduled for 2024. That is six out of eleven Disney movies that we have seen that were scheduled to come out in 2024, 2024, and 2024, but did not come out. Disney seems to be making a habit of releasing their movies late, or not at all. They should be more careful.

Note: This blog is not intended to address these other Disney movies that will be released in 2024 and 2024. What do you think about all of this? Why did Disney release all of these movies so far out? Is it because they were not ready, or were they trying to move them out of the way of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? If so, what does that mean? Are Disney movies that were released after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker going to better? Or worse? There has been some discussion about whether Disney movies that are released in 2024 and 2024 will be as good as their recent releases. Personally, I am not worried about that. But then, I am not the target market for these movies.

So, please read and leave your comments. I would love to hear from you.

The Clink Blog has received additional information about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

What was Disney's last fully animated movie?

While you may never have known that Disney was making animated movies during the second half of the twentieth century, here's one movie you may have seen that tells a good part of the story.

It's a movie about a little girl called Tinker Bell and her friends that have to help a little girl called Mary who is being held in a tower by a bird.

Disney's last fully animated film was probably Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It wasn't released until December 1938, and was the first of Walt's animated films to not have him play the part of the main character.

It's also true that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the last time that the studio's animation department was led by the same people. So what do we know about the animation department before that point? How did they get started? Walt first encountered the art of animation while working at Laugh-o-Gram, a cinema which would later become The Walt Disney Studios, in 1912. He had no formal training in the art of animation, so he taught himself to animate by reading up on the subject and experimenting with various methods of animation. In particular, he learned how to draw stick figures.

Walt Disney's early cartoon drawings. Image: The Walt Disney Family Museum So far this is all well and good, but what about his actual animation? That's where things get a bit more complicated. Walt was an incredibly prolific filmmaker. He made numerous shorts from 1913 to 1934 that were primarily made by assistants and employees working under his name (though he is credited for animation supervisor on many of them). These are the earliest films for which we have an actual title and release date. They were distributed on a very small scale. He would even send these movies to friends and family, and they would play them for their own enjoyment.

This is all well and good, but in 1934 he commissioned animated short film titled Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (the idea for which was credited to Lillian Bauchens). This was a full-length film with no credits other than the title. Walt Disney was now considered to be a full-fledged professional, a director, and the short received many accolades. There were even two Academy Awards presented for it in February 1935.

Is there any new Disney movies coming out in 2023?

In 2024 Disney are set to release a new film.

It is said to be titled "the untitled fourth movie". What does this mean? Is it an actual, official name of the film? What about the Untitled fourth movie? Is this an official title or something new that is being used for marketing purposes and also to try and make the movie seem more exciting?

It was announced for release on December 7th, which made people think that the movie was going to be called Star Wars: Episode IX, but then Disney just put out a statement saying that it would be called Star Wars: The Fourth Movie. How do you think the new movie will turn out? What should be the main plot of the movie? Will anything unexpected happen? Will there be any twists and turns throughout the film? I would say that the movie will have most likely nothing new at all, but they could throw in some references from previous films to show that the world is actually much bigger than what we know, and that the Star Wars universe has even existed before the formation of the New Republic. This was shown with Leia and Luke at the old Jedi Temple, although most people are missing it. I think that the movie will be a big disappointment though, not due to its contents but because it has been a long time coming.

This time it's The Last Jedi, so it's definitely not going to be that good. The only good thing about that movie is Luke/Leia, everything else is garbage. Most of the things they did for that movie were terrible, like using Snoke as a love interest, that was so terrible it makes my skin crawl. I'm glad they killed off Luke now that they're done with the saga, he should be dead and I'm glad they killed off his wife too.

I think it will turn out to be really good though because that would be the first time Luke would become a father after a whole freaking life since the events of Empire. I'd prefer they went back to the original direction.

What's the latest animated Disney movie?

How about one that has the world's largest and most famous cartoon character, a talking dog who can talk to anyone, living in a town?

And I don't mean talking like "Hello, my name is Wuffy"--I mean like a full on character that talks like a human.

Disney movies may be the only movies where you can have a really detailed role for a dog, where you can see them play a full character in the movie. It really makes a lot of sense to introduce a dog in a Disney movie, where everyone gets along with animals and other cute things.

I would like to add that you are right, he does talk like a human though I think he still speaks as if his voice has gotten higher than it should be but what do I know, I just read it once at someone's suggestion when I was looking for a name for my characters on a forum. I remember hearing a news story saying that Disney is going to make animated show based on the life of Wuffy, the character from the movie Wabbit. If it turns out to be that good I hope they make lots of such movies like this one.
