Hello. I know this is a old question but still unanswered as of this time, so I'll leave answer. Edge does not yet work with Windows 10. The answer to "Will Edge be compatible with Windows 10?" will be answered when Microsoft will publicly announce the Windows 10 release date. It could be anytime or sometime in the near future.

It's still early days, and you might not get a lot of answers from Microsoft, even if you ask a question like this. If you just need to "be able to use both", then using a browser such as Firefox and Chrome won't hurt. I have never had any problems with Edge on my laptop which uses the NVIDIA graphics chip and has Windows 10. If I did need to use Microsoft Edge though, I'd switch back to Firefox.

There's also no way to block Edge at all on Windows 10 without disabling the browser completely. So you'll have to uninstall it to stop it from working. There are some ways to change the default browser, but they require some kind of third-party software to do it.

Edge doesn't work right now in Win10. I installed Win10 on my PC last week. I've been using FF ever since. However, I did install Edge when I got the new Windows. My experience with it hasn't been the greatest.and I've heard a lot of complaints about it. I don't plan to continue using it, at least until it works more consistently.

I have another question: I noticed that there are two (2) entries in my startup apps for Edge. One is under Internet Explorer 11 and the other is called Edge. When I open the Internet Explorer 11 one, it works. When I open the Edge one, nothing happens. I'm wondering what that means and what I need to do to fix it. I didn't add either of them to the startup apps. I think they are part of the Windows OS. I tried deleting the Edge entry and then I rebooted my PC. I'm wondering why the second one isn't working for me.

When you start up your PC, does Windows normally display the Start screen where you can choose which app to start?
