Is Log Horizon Season 3 the end?
A fan favorite anime is making a comeback!
Can it last? Or will it be cancelled after only two seasons? An anime fans dream is to see their favorite anime series return to its glory days. Fans of Log Horizon, many of whom don't even know what the series is about, are excited to hear that it is coming back in 2025. They hope for a return to their classic glory days where it had lots of character development and a compelling plot.
Will we get Log Horizon 3? This is probably the most popular question on this list, and one which I'm sure a lot of you are also asking. Well, good news, we may well get Log Horizon season 3.
In an interview with Otaku News, a representative of Tatsunoko Production said: With the next season being about the 'big war' of the anime, I think it'll be interesting to have a 'big war' as well as all the various relationships that were developed in the first two seasons. The new season will likely feature a full-blown war, which means it will probably be bigger than the entire scope of the previous two seasons combined. Since we don't know what the series is actually about yet, it's hard to say how many characters will be involved, but I'm guessing that it will still be fairly large.
The reason I'm so sure about a third season is because in the same interview, the Log Horizon director Kenji Kawai said: I want to show the next generation in another battle. He also added: So as to not let the audience down, I think it's necessary to make this season a war that would go on for at least a year, so I think the third season could be on the level of the previous two. The main focus of this statement is definitely on the next generation, which implies a sequel to the previous two seasons. If Kawai doesn't want to let the audience down, then he will need to plan for a sequel by giving us a good ending. Log Horizon season 3 can definitely do better than its predecessors if they wish to keep the fans happy.
Is Log Horizon getting a 4th season?
After the 4th season, log Horizon announced there will be no more seasons.
But I am wondering about another season called log Horizon season 4, can this really happen? Thank you in advance for your answers.
So this is a very interesting topic since Log Horizon, like all anime, are not only anime but video games also. And if there's going to be a video game made based on it, then is it even anime anymore? I think log Horizon is a good anime, although it needs more content to grow more. Because when it was a manga, it had a lot of content, and many events happened, but those happened in 3 seasons, I hope there's a more interesting things to talk about, so I'll be happy if this is indeed a second season.
In this case, if they do make a season 4 log horizon will probably be called something different such as log galaxy or something. The new title will probably change from season to season. Like how you said the 3rd season was renamed: "The third dimension", since the original title was already "The dimension of time".
From one season to the next season is like the beginning of the story is at an end and we are now in the next part. While all 3 seasons is really the story of how log Horizon starts from the beginning. So you know what I mean?
A new season is not an addition. It was just because in log horizon anime there was no other place to put the characters before they reach the end of their story, so they were given a chance to see other places and time after they finish the series. So when the anime finished they weren't like hey lets go off and do stuff it was more like when this anime was over here are some characters that we never got to see again. Even if there are more seasons there will still be no need to add more seasons because it isn't the story continues any more. It is an add on to the story just like other anime's are an add on like Naruto or One Piece.
From the beginning log Horizon is the first anime to start in the present. So its not possible for there to be a season 4 since they said they'll end it after three seasons. What's more exciting is a sequel would mean that there are new stories to write, so I'd say there's probably a new season coming up.
Is Log Horizon a copy of Sao?
I thought it was but I don't remember anything about the actual plot.
Also why did Seifer say it when he was playing his song on the guitar at the end? It seems to connect everything.
Log Horizon is definitely not a copy of Sao. While the setting might be similar, their story is fundamentally different. If you think that Seifer playing that song on the guitar with the lights out was meant to mirror Saotome's death, then I'd say the two are definitely related. After all, Saotome had played that song a while before, and the game took place right after him passing.
Sao is like the mother of modern JRPGS in that it is heavily story-based rather than a mindless hack and slash affair. It might be similar to SAO in that they both have similar settings, themes and characters, however, the two games diverge in that Seifer uses Seigiri as a way of escaping the nightmare and living in the real world. The player has the option to choose what actions Seigiri will perform in the game's events or go against the grain.
I've played SAO. Its plot is definitely more complex than Sao's, which is good. I've never played "mother" of JRPGs, so I'll be interested in your experiences with it.
It wasn't a parody of Sao, and if you mean, what did Seigo do at the end, it wasn't Seigo because he was playing Seigo's song on the guitar. The way it ends was not a reflection, but more of an illusion.
Log Horizon isn't like Sao at all, unless you just have a specific agenda and are going to try and convince me otherwise. You guys should actually play it. It would benefit you as fans of the genre since you will hopefully learn a little bit more about how to improve upon something already great and learn that maybe Seirei can stand up to the comparison more then Sao because Log Horizon is a unique and interesting story about war, friendship and what it means to be human. That is so much more. If you were comparing them that would be very stupid. But to compare them without even having even bothered to try would make it look extremely stupid.
Does Log Horizon have a plot?
Lets talk for a moment about plot.
Does Log Horizon have one? There's a couple of ways to go about answering this question, though I think they can be combined into a rather obvious answer. So let's break it up and talk about each way separately.
Plot as a narrative arc: Some writers define plot as a narrative arc in which characters take actions to bring about some resolution at the end of the story. We see this sort of thing in a lot of action movies: there's an inciting incident which throws our heroes in the path of a villain who wants to do something awful, and things just keep piling on top of each other until finally the hero defeats their opponent or dies trying, at which point the plot arc ends. In Log Horizon this would be the conflict between the protagonist's desire to explore the world and the antagonist's desires to conquer and control. The antagonist is a fairly standard example of anti-hero; Log Horizon has plenty of them. The protagonist's desire could perhaps be taken a bit further. They want to see the world, not conquer it. That's a different conflict, though. In Log Horizon's case, it's probably the main conflict.
In real life, though, people do make choices based on a number of variables in addition to a desire for power and conquest. These might include their background and experiences, their friends, their beliefs, their environment, and their personal philosophy and values. Most people are probably not consciously aware of all of these factors influencing their behavior, but they certainly have thoughts about them. People choose to act based on these things. People don't often act out of some sense of duty to a goal that is external to themselves and their personal goals; most people try to figure out what is best for them personally, even if it leads them to lose friendships and even risk injury or death. People make choices for themselves. Log Horizon is about humans, but we see people making choices from a wide variety of motivations.
That's a bit longwinded, but I want to make a note here. Plot is a narrative arc. A good plot arc is the story that unfolds based on the choices and decisions made by characters who are trying to find their own path through the plot.
