Can I use USB joystick on PS4?

What is the joystick called on PS4?

It's called the gamepad.

As for what it does on PS4? It seems to be able to control the camera as well as allow user control over movement, so far as I can tell.

How do I use the mouse on my PC to interact with The Walking Dead game I installed on my Wii U? There is a button located in the bottom-right of the controller to adjust and zoom in or out, if your PC has those particular features. That button is also labeled Zoom. There may be an alternative button on the console itself (I have not seen one myself).

How do you use the joysticks on a new PlayStation 4 Pro controller? The joysticks are very sensitive, and the stick itself is quite small. So be gentle when turning the stick. If you press on the sides of the stick with any kind of force, there is a chance that the stick could jump out of its casing or get worn out.

How do I access all buttons and triggers on a DualShock 4 gamepad? They're usually labeled on their respective face of the controller. Check out the included picture for a better idea of how it works.

The controllers are called gamepads? What do they call them where you come from? The term gamepad doesn't really exist where I live. The controllers used in consoles and handhelds aren't called gamepads in American English.

Is it possible to connect a smartphone or tablet to my PlayStation 4 via Bluetooth? If you connect your tablet or phone to the controller via Bluetooth, you'll need to update your PS4 settings before connecting. For that, visit the Options section of the Games & Apps screen in the Entertainment & Devices area. Go to the Advanced section and click on Connection Settings. Then you can enable the device that you want to connect to your console via a bluetooth.

What is a "trick mode" and how do I access it on my PS4 gamepad? Trick mode is an easy way to quickly turn off auto-aiming if you're facing a particular direction. It's easy to get confused and face the wrong way while playing a shooter game. To access trick mode, hold the right stick up.

How do I change my gamepad's joystick sensitivity?

Can I use USB joystick on PS4?

I want to play RTS games, so I want to use a USB controller for it.

Is there anyway that it can work on PS4 without any problem? Is my controller supported by PS4? Can I use it as an X input device? Well, yes, in theory it could work. The only part that would be questionable is the ability to detect the number of buttons and axis on the PS4.

To figure that one out, you'd probably want to see the documentation of how they are used for XInput, and the fact that the controller uses a generic set of buttons. But the PS3 / XBox 360 both used button 0 as a secondary fire button, but the Dual Shock 3 and all Xbox One controllers don't. It's entirely possible that the PS4 controller could handle secondary fire as a double tap on the left stick (for example), and the only two axis that would conflict in terms of how their inputs work are the analog sticks. Those axes are usually defined to work like the PlayStation 2's gamepads, but it's entirely up to the developers how they work, and for most games, that should be fine.

Also, note that the Dual Shock 3 (or the DualShock 4 as its latest version) and the Xbox One controller are very similar, so the Xbox One controller would work similarly as the Dual Shock 3 controller (though with the added comfort of having a thumbstick). The Dual Shock 4 controller is completely different from either of those older gamepads, and so it might be an entirely different experience (in terms of software support) than what you get with the Dual Shock 3 or Xbox One.

What is the best joystick for PS4?

I've been playing with the PS4 controller in the past few days, and am getting to the point where I'm actually comfortable using it.

So now I want a PS4 compatible joystick, to use as my primary input device.

The first thing that comes to mind is the Xbox 360 controller, since it's one of the best gamepads available. However, it doesn't have the analog stick I'd like. The other option would be the DualShock 4, since it's a PS3 controller that has already been replaced on the PS4. But again, it doesn't have the analog stick.

So I thought, what about the XBOX 360 gamepad, and then swap the sticks? The problem with this is that I can't find any information on the sticks on XBOX gamepads. I've searched online for awhile now, and all the information is for PC and Mac gamepads, and even then, the sticks aren't clear enough to identify what they're meant to be.

If anyone has experience with these two, or knows the sticks inside and out, it would be helpful. The more information the better, since I really want to use the PS4 controller as my primary controller.

I don't know how good the 360 gamepad is, but I think it might be possible to swap the sticks for the analogue stick. The thumbsticks are actually very similar in shape to the Playstation buttons, so it shouldn't be too difficult. The stick on the 360 controller has a similar shape to the PS3 controller, so it would probably be a simple replacement. I would suggest that you actually watch a video of someone doing this, rather than just guessing. It is a very, very difficult task, and even if it works, you will have no idea what the sticks do, what the triggers do, etc. You will need to know what you are doing before you attempt it.

I think the easiest way to find out would be to just buy a new 360 controller, and if it doesn't work, you can get a new stick. I have been able to replace controllers before.

If you are unsure, maybe buy the XBox 360 controller and if it doesn't work, you can always get a new stick. Well, there you go. If you do get it working, please post how.
