How do I turn on Secure Network in Edge?
Hi I have to set secure network in my phone and I already did it the old way but now how can I check if it is on/off to? Because I already have my code,I just want to know if I am using that or no, what are all the things that I can do if its on. I would be real helpful if someone who know or someone explain me it with a simple picture, thanks I am having the same issue as someone else has and am wondering if anyone knows how to get your secure network working. After about two years I finally got all my settings and code figured out so now I can use it with my T-Mobile network since it was built into the code for my phone model. That took some time so I figured why not pass this knowledge on. This is where I have been up to.
You should read all of the answers above before you start coding your application. I don't think I have an application with a network request.
If the application requires a network setting then the answer would be: If the phone supports a network type. I use a simcard for test purposes. The applications will still work for data (internet) use but I find it best to ask the device for the network type on the phone. On a non-rooted phone it may not be available or will return unknown
In your phone menu: Settings -> About phone -> Network, make sure the network type is SIM. I'm using one device at the moment - the Galaxy 3/3e it has SIM/GSM GSM/ HSPA and LTE. Which should match the three different codes.
Hi, I got the codes on Vodafone, but when I run the app, it does not connect with the network even though I have selected "SIM". But on a related note, I am running a Galaxy Note 2, but I do not have either "Data connection" or "Network type". Does any one have the information whether "Connected" is equivalent to "SIM" and whether there are other codes to be used for other carriers than the ones given.
Thank you and sorry for the long comment, but I have been working on this now for over six months on two different devices and really appreciate a solution so the code is not out of order if you know what I mean.
