But it was great because I got to hang out with my friends. I'm not sure if Spotify is really worth it though. The ads aren't as annoying as those on Hulu and the free songs are enough.

Does school wifi block Spotify?
I don't like the idea of school networks being monitored for music consumption so I was wondering if anyone had any experience of listening to Spotify on school wifi.e. It seems that the school network should just be for education purposes but they seem to use a system that blocks specific applications for some reason. We are talking about the London Metropolitan school that has recently been caught blocking the BBC's iPlayer and the government's official website. The schools says it does this to ensure students learn to manage their own resources, but I think it's much more than that, they're a bit anal about internet usage by children. As for blocking BBC iPlayer I think that's a pretty serious accusation, given the BBC's role in news and current affairs, as well as comedy, factual programmes and sports.
You can't seriously expect the BBC's website to be allowed on a corporate network. They're free to do as they want with their own site, as they know they won't be blocked and that it will only make them look good. It's the same as when the BBC try and get us to watch TV on iPlayer instead of our normal set top boxes.
That's what parents are paying for in the first place. The schools have their own agenda that is completely at odds with the parent's, not to mention the children. This whole subject is really disgusting.
Spotify is still blocked here at secondary school. Spotify was (still is?) blocked at my primary and secondary school. I never managed to find out why it was blocked until recently when I came across someone else that was also blocked.
