I'm going to be traveling to Ireland in a few weeks and I'm looking for a couple of good suggestions.

Well that's a tough call. I'm not familiar with the Irish countryside so I can't really advise you there.

I will suggest you head to Cork for your first stop. It is a beautiful city with some wonderful restaurants, bars and shops. It's about 2 hours south of Dublin.

If you have an interest in the Celts I would suggest you visit Clonakilty, near Cork. It's the best place to visit in Ireland to learn about the Celts.

There are some great places to stay in Cork city. Try the Grand Hotel, The George Hotel, and the Metropole. Also a good choice for a drink is The Duke of York. It's a good pub with a nice atmosphere.

You'll enjoy Ballymaloe House and the Ardglass Pottery. There are lots of restaurants in Cork city, but you won't find any that I recommend in the same sentence as Ballymaloe.

If you have any interest in the Irish history or music (Irish folk music) then I suggest you take a day trip to Killarney and maybe spend the night. I've heard Killarney is a wonderful town.

It's a great place to visit. The Irish National Stud is a huge tourist attraction. There are lots of places to stay and eat.
