How do I use NordVPN as a hotspot?

Use the Internet Explorer on your smartphone to connect to your router's web interface and change the settings.

How do I remove the NordVPN ads that appeared on my browser? Go to the Google Ads Preferences and uncheck "Enable personalized ads". How can I install the free version of the app? Use a different app name on your Google Play account. Do I have to unregister from the NordVPN service before I remove the free version of the app? Yes, you should uninstall the app first. We recommend you uninstall the app before unregistering from our service.

Why isn't the free version of the app completely ad-free? You can choose to receive no ads or some ads from the "Ads you can opt-out of" area. To have no ads at all on the app, you can change "Manage ads" -> "Ads settings" -> "No more ads".

Does NordVPN work with iPhone hotspot?

You may have seen rumors about VPNs working with iPhone hotspot, but the answer is no.

Even with MacOS Sierra, iPhones can't change their DNS settings from the phone network's DNS to the VPN's DNS.

Yes, although you'll need to make some changes in your VPN app to do so. All that needs to be done is tap on the Menu button to find the Settings and then WiFi settings. You can then make some changes there: And when you're ready to set up the VPN you'll need to connect it via WiFi to your PC and then start it up in your VPN app. This will set up a connection between your PC and your VPN, and you'll be able to change the DNS settings if you've configured them.

How do I share my NordVPN over WIFI?

If you already have the NordVPN installed on your devices and wish to add a NordVPN client application to your desktop computer, there are several methods that can be used.

First of all, select the Desktop Mode from your NordVPN client application. The client application will start with the home screen. Here, select the top option Share my NordVPN.

Now, in the top left corner you will find an icon as seen in the screenshot below. Clicking on this icon will open up a list with several options to share your NordVPN subscription. If you have chosen Free, simply start up your PC to access a web page that has a free NordVPN account available. Then, you have to connect your NordVPN client application with this free account.

In case you have opted for Personal, enter the password you had used when signing up for your account and click OK. You will automatically be logged in to your personal NordVPN account. The top menu in this case is rather limited, only allowing you to change your account profile (Settings, Help) and choosing between Desktop Mode and Mobile Mode.

A new web page will open in your browser. Click on the Start-button to start using your NordVPN over the internet! You can also download NordVPN app for mobile devices. How do I share my NordVPN? You can easily share your NordVPN account via Wifi networks to other devices that use the same network. Just select the Share button in your NordVPN application and select Wifi as a connection option. This will then make your device connect to the Internet using your NordVPN subscription.

It is also possible to use an external USB storage drive to share your NordVPN subscription. Insert the USB flash drive into any computer connected to the Internet and click on the Share-button in your NordVPN application. This will then connect your NordVPN to that computer.
