What is the name of a female Carmel?

What is the name of a female Carmel?

I always wanted to name a female, so I don't know her name.

One day I named her Carmel because she had a lot of "Carmel" about her. She has long ears, big head, a big butt.everything I like in a female.so I really want to name her that.

What is the name of a male Carmel? I have always wanted to name one of my males Caralina, after the city of the same name, a place near the lake.a place known for Carmels. If anyone is willing to name one for me, plese pm me and explain what your thoughts are on names, as well as, any story you may tell, about the origin of your name, etc.or do I need to purchase one? I don't want to name him/her 'Taurus', though. No disrespect to those named after the bull, however I haven't really noticed any Carmel males with that name, besides being born in the year 'Taurus' (not sure how much that really counts) LOL!

A friend wants to name her male carmel because when she was a very young cat she had long ears, and she was named after the city and he will be born in the years of the charmed life which is the best year possible. I named my male 'carmel' just bc I saw the movie and there was this little girl who was named 'carmel' and it just kind of stuck with me, and when I was a young cat I got long earssies I really liked the look of them, they looked just like a cat's ears. I named one of my cats Carmel because I love the name Carmel but the only female I have is a tortie cross so I would like to name her Taurus. Maybe some one else will love this name as much as I do.

What is the male version of the name Carmel?

Carmel is a short name meaning 'famed among men' in Hebrew, and it has several meanings.

But most people probably associate the name with Carmel of Galilee, the Jewish town in northern Israel. The name Carmel is closely related to the name Carmelite. Both mean 'rock of Carmel' and were given to two different places in Israel: Carmel, meaning 'good rock', and Carmelite, meaning 'small rock'. The name Carmel comes from the name Carmelah, which was a daughter of 'Abel the Carmelite' (who was the son of Carmel). She was a prophetess who lived in an area that is now called Jabneh, in southern Israel.

The place of Jabneh became known as 'the land of Carmel', and that name has passed into English as Carmel. It is thought that there are more than ten Carmelite monasteries throughout the world, mostly in Italy. One of these Carmelites was Saint Margaret of Antioch, the sister of St. Louis IX of France. Her Carmelite convent in Antioch had such fame for its holiness that Pope Clement XI declared it a separate diocese in 1685.

A more recent Carmelite (that is, a nun of the congregation of St. Teresa of Avila) is Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who had many Carmelite friends in the Holy Land. She once said that 'I want a Carmel to serve the Lord in Jerusalem.' In her book 'The Joy of Being a Carmelite' she wrote, 'I am not only a Carmelite because I have vowed to take vows, but because I am a person who always strives for excellence. For me Carmel is an ideal of perfect love. God's love for man is shown in Carmel.'

There are a few instances where the name Carmel and Carmelite can be found together. It may refer to one of the monasteries in France. There is also the Carmelite monastery at Walsingham, in Norfolk. There was a Carmelite nunnery at Cirencester in the early 1500s, which was suppressed after the dissolution of the monasteries. The names Carmel, Carmelite, and Carmel are often confused, especially with women named Carmel.
