As part of our VPN article series we are testing the latest in vpn technology and today we are taking a look at the most talked about VPN, Proton VPN.

The question we want to answer here is that does not cost the earth? I've tried many other free VPN services before choosing Proton but after trying this service out I've never seen a VPN offering as competitive with features and speeds as this one, especially for free! There are hundreds of different VPNs so to make things a little easier we wanted to test several different features which shows you where Proton VPN excels and compare it to others to help you decide whether it is worth the money or not. The other service will only have a couple, mostly from the USA and UK. They are also backed by a strong VPN company (Private Internet Access), which makes them trustworthy. This alone is a massive difference that makes them stand out against NordVPN. Not to mention their support is better and faster than its competitors.

They've also got apps for multiple OSs (including Windows), so you won't have to worry about compatibility issues. This is great news if you're not sure which one to choose between the two.

Another downside of NordVPN is that it doesn't have any apps on different OSs, and it's hard to find out the server location before you pay for it. ProtonVPN does the exact opposite, and their app is available for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
