Who owns Dynadot?
What is Dynadot's business model?
Is Dynadot a B2B or a B2C company? Why did the Dynadot project get canceled?
The story of Dynadot, started in 2025 by two Harvard Business School graduates, has been an interesting one. I was intrigued to find out who owned the company and what their vision for Dynadot was. The founders, S. P. Somnath and Rahul Vohra, have been in the tech industry for quite a while. They have sold companies, led R&D and startups, and are now focusing on Dynadot.
They decided to keep their identities secret, which is not very common in the startup world. So when I came across the story on their blog (and the press coverage), I thought I would ask them some questions to help understand their thoughts on the matter. After many emails and calls, I finally got a reply. So here are the questions and their answers.

What is the best site to register a domain on Reddit?
I know that many people just want to get a domain for their personal names or web sites.
But, where should I register my domain if not here? Is there another place I can register my domain with? What is the difference between a domain and a subdomain? 1 Answer.
The problem with Reddit is that they offer too many options. I can't answer your question specifically as to which of them is best.
There's two types of domains: top level domains (TLDs) and second-level domains (SLDs). TLDs are the .com, .org, and .net. You can always buy a TLD. However, you must pay an application fee to become the registry for the TLD. A TLD registry is a company like VeriSign that takes the applications and then makes sure they meet the rules and regulations of the TLD. They also have certain policies for who they will accept as an applicant. Some TLDs are free to apply for (unlike, for instance, .
However, the most important thing to consider is what TLD will suit you the best. In some ways, it's like asking, "What city do I want to move to?" The answer is a bit subjective, but in general the places where you can be successful are:edu for educational institutions .jobs for job boards and career pages .news for news sites .co for companies .biz for businesses .gov for governmental entities There are a few other TLDs, like .name and .club, but these are often very small and have little relevance.
The next step is to make sure you can buy a good domain name. This isn't so much about buying the best domain, but about choosing a domain that is already taken and making sure it is the type of domain that you are looking for. There are several different classes of domain, such as ccTLDs, gTLDs, and aTLDs.
For ccTLDs, there are only a few options:ca for Canada .cn for China .eu for the European Union .us for the United States .
