Why did they cancel Gilmore Girls?

Why did they cancel Gilmore Girls?

A lot of people have been asking this question, and I've been wondering it myself.

I recently re-watched the last episode of the series, and it all makes sense to me now.

The basic plot of the show is: The main character's boyfriend dumps her. Her sister and best friend set her up on a date with a boy she likes. The girl's mom has cancer, and the girl's brother and friend move out. And they do all these things because they care about her and want to support her and help her. It's a great message you don't have to be alone but what it means is that every single person in the show is essentially an ass.

I'm not saying this was obvious to the audience. If it were, the show would have been canceled before the first episode. Instead, the only thing that seemed to happen was that it became the focus of every other episode. The show is about how you can't just rely on yourself. You need people. And when they're not there, you're screwed. That's the whole point, right? They weren't canceling it; they were making it an important show. But, as it turned out, it was a very important show, for exactly the wrong reasons.

The premise of Gilmore Girls is that a teenager in Stars Hollow gets a job at the local diner, Rory Gilmore. She immediately starts annoying everyone and doing terrible things to them, like making the patrons of the diner cry. It's a perfect setup for the show's main joke: how you don't want to be alone, but you also don't want to be with someone who's making you feel that way. It's a lesson about life. This was really the same as Six Feet Under, which did this thing a lot. But the difference between the two shows is that it wasn't quite clear to the audience why that was a good lesson. We could tell it was a good lesson, but we couldn't quite figure out why.

The reason is that both shows dealt with the same theme family in such a weird way.

Who is the father of Rory's baby?

I know this has been addressed but if they are not going to make a definitive answer they should tell us it's not Rory's baby.

I think my favorite scene with the baby is when Dean and Michael are trying to find her. If she really is a baby, she will cry. However, Rory does not even notice her and when she cries Dean is right there to pick her up and show her to Michael!

And then when Michael dies there is a scene of Dean carrying the baby around for days! Well, the baby wasn't really dead. Not in the sense that we knew she was dead.

I have no idea why she went back in time, other than we know she does not want to be a mother. In theory, she went back to take care of a baby that had a good chance of being a son who eventually helped her father save the world. Of course, you may be right, and maybe we'll see another explanation at the end of the season where she explains how she was able to go back. But my point is, the writers have not established the father of the baby yet. It could be Dean, or it could be someone else. And I would be interested to find out if Rory isn't going to show that she's the mother!

There are some interesting theories here about why she went back. We're going to get to those in the rest of the season.

I think it's because the baby isn't one of ours, but maybe it is one of our kids. She is in love with her father and was jealous of them. Maybe she went back and changed things so that she could be a mother. It would make sense that she goes back in time and changes the outcome of one of our futures.

No, why she said she wants to have a baby is because I think she knows that she can't really give Dean and Michael a baby together. And that they would kill her for it. The fact that she had sex with him even after they were married and then had an affair was enough to hurt Dean, even if she didn't have the child. So the real reason she wants to be a mom is because she knows she can't really give them a baby together.

This season I feel they're giving more hints about the baby she's carrying, which will be a huge reveal in S5.

Who will Rory end up with?

We are still weeks away from seeing "Game of Thrones" season 4 premiere, but it appears everyone is already getting a sneak peek.

Last month Jon Snow and the rest of the Stark family's storyline was unveiled as part of that season 4 trailer that we saw back in March. Now, in addition to Jon's storyline, this week's Game of Thrones Comic-Con trailer revealed The Hound's death at Arya's hand. We already knew this story, since it was revealed at the same time the trailer dropped, but now it seems Game of Thrones has already mapped out even more of this character's storyline.

I've never liked the Hound until I heard Arya say "Die like a man", which to me was like a "witness to be avenged". I don't care if it's the final few episodes (which I'll be excited to see because they're really good) or if it's Season 5, the Hound will forever be with us.

I'm so excited for the next episode as I can tell that Arya is following the footsteps of the Hound. I've come to learn that they're really tough characters to write because every time one story ends we have to think of what happens next. I'm anxious to see what other things the Game of Thrones writing staff has in store for us.
