Why can't I activate Hulu on my phone?
We'll show you how to get Hulu free for 7 days of free live TV service.
By Michael Moran. Nov 24, 2025. We've partnered with Hulu and are excited to offer the latest update to our subscribers. From now until Sunday at 10 PM (Pacific Time), you can get seven days of Hulu free - all you need is your email address and an active phone number. You can sign up on any of our web sites - we'll even SMS you over a couple minutes.
But why the free Hulu offer? Because we love streaming on your phone, tablet and desktop. We are excited about getting more people watching on the platforms they love. Once you are signed in, you can easily re-enter your credentials later.
Why not use your Hulu login instead of using a third party app? It won't work because Hulu's authentication system uses a "proof of location" system called geolocation. As a result, you can add up to 10 accounts per phone, per location. That's right, one device and no additional fees for 10 different platforms.
Hulu on Mobile isn't yet available. If you would like to start watching Hulu on the mobile platform today, sign up here. In the meantime, you can get Hulu on Web, tablet and desktop if you sign up from these platforms.
The great news is that if you're reading this, you are most likely already Hulu-ing on mobile. That's because Hulu has announced a mobile plan. A lot of people aren't happy with it because it will eat into the small screen space, but the reality is that with the mobile experience you may only use that amount of content with the promise of additional content in the future, and so far the mobile experience hasn't been as well integrated into the overall experience as the desktop. If there were more apps for the mobile experience and some changes to the interface, then we'd prefer you kept using the desktop experience. But there are some great new apps coming in 2025 - check back!
We do try to make the experience better for the mobile app and our mobile team and the best people working in mobile development.
Why is Hulu not working on iPhone?
The problem is that Hulu.
Com has an iPad-only app which does work on the iPhone, but the Hulu.com website is not supported on iPhone.
If you're reading this and you've never heard of Hulu before, let me briefly explain what it is. Hulu is a service that lets you watch TV shows and movies online for free. You don't need a cable or satellite TV subscription to use it - it's a browser-based service, meaning you can use it on your PC, Mac or even on your mobile phone.
You have to sign up for a free Hulu account, and then you can watch TV shows and movies online through the Hulu website. How Hulu works. Hulu streams the TV shows and movies live online, so you don't have to download them to your computer or phone. You can also download episodes of TV shows and movies from the Hulu website to your computer and watch them offline. You're not limited to watching TV shows and movies on the Hulu website. You can also download episodes of TV shows and movies to your computer and watch them offline.
Why does Hulu not work on iPhone? The reason Hulu doesn't work on iPhone is because Apple has a strict policy about websites not being allowed to have an app on the iPhone. If you've ever tried to use an iPhone browser to access a website that doesn't have an iPhone-specific app, you'll know what I mean. The site will load perfectly fine on your iPhone, but it won't let you do anything. You can't scroll down to see more pages on the site, or click links to open other pages on the site. It's the same thing with Hulu. The site will load fine on your iPhone, but it won't let you do anything.
Instead, you get a message that says: This page does not appear to be optimized for iPhone. What you can do. If you want to watch Hulu on your iPhone, you can either use a third-party app, or you can use a web browser instead. The easiest way to watch Hulu on your iPhone is to use a third-party app.
Why is Hulu not letting me log in on my phone?
Hulu has been forcing you to use their app on a phone or computer browser to watch their content.
And honestly, it's for a good reason. On TV, Hulu is one of the few apps that stream all TV shows all of the time. But, if you're on the go, using a phone (or computer, tablet, etc) and want to browse through shows/movies/etc while on-the-go, it's not something you can do. You have to use Hulu at home or in the office. With that being said, Hulu recently decided to allow users to login through their app on smartphones & tablets. But there are a few problems with this (see below). Let us break down what you need to know about this change and hopefully, you won't be stuck wondering why is Hulu not letting me login on my phone?
So first things first What changes? So the whole reason Hulu decided to offer their own login process is because they found it to better than having their users use Google, Facebook, or a similar service to log into their app. According to them, it's because the number of users that are logging into Hulu is very low. They believe that because there's not a very high demand for this particular feature, they decided to create it themselves instead of turning to a third party for answer. That's probably true. But we can't forget that users are paying for this service and the lack of any login alternative really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
That being said, Hulu users are now able to login via their app and watch all the content available through it. The reason this is going to take so long is that you have to start your download process from scratch because they are giving you access to so many different areas of Hulu.
This means you have to download the following: An app from Hulu. A TV app from Hulu. Hulu Plus app. Hulu Kids app. Hulu Sports app. Any other apps available to you. You then have to setup your credentials for the app - basically giving Hulu your login info. It sounds daunting. It is actually quite easy. But that doesn't mean you'll be finished in 10 minutes like many other apps.
Why can I not watch Hulu on my phone?
Hulu uses Adobe Flash Player.
This works fine on the desktop. However, the mobile version of Hulu is a different story. It has a problem rendering our website on certain phones due to the inability to play Flash. This means you can not watch the Hulu website with Hulu app on your phone. You'll need a computer or tablet.
If you are trying to watch The Voice on Hulu. We think most people know that The Voice is currently airing on ABC. However, Hulu no longer offers episodes of the show directly. Because Hulu is unable to get their hands on the shows after the show has been broadcast, many people are unable to stream The Voice from Hulu. We will likely have the episodes of The Voice available sometime soon. So check back here as we update this article when that happens.
