Does VPN work on Android emulator?
I'm using android emulator and trying to get VPN. In Windows VPN works but I can't get it to work on the Android emulator. Any help would be great.
If you're wondering how I got this emulator, here's the answer: Go to Google and do a search for "android sdk". If you don't already have an Android SDK, download and install the "Android SDK Platform-tools". Download and install the latest version of "Android Virtual. Developer" from: Start and run "AVD Manager". Drag your previously made "Google API 2.3 - API 10" AVD to the right area.
I am not 100% sure, but I think that the VPN service that runs in your computer's OS has nothing to do with the one that works in your Android Emulator. The emulator works by virtualizing the mobile phone operating system so that you can simulate the way a device would behave while connected to the internet. Therefore, the VPN you have installed on your PC works inside the emulator.
Try to connect without using the VPN service. If you get a new IP address inside the emulator then your emulator will be able to access the internet through the VPN service.
How to enable Internet connection in Android emulator?
I am using Android emulator.
What's the easiest way to connect internet in this emulator? There is no any official method, but there are many ways to connect internet in android emulator. Open the emulator, then open settings. Then click on wireless connection. Click on enable mobile broadband . And it'll work.
Here's how it looks like. Click here to view image of settings. Use the wireless from your Android Device. The same way you did in a real phone.
