Why is my text to speech not working on Mac?
I'm having trouble recording a text to speech and then playing it back on Mac.
I've followed the instructions in this site: I can see it's working (as I hear the 'reading' voice) but I have an error message on Mac: The input file you provided could not be read because it has an unsupported character encoding. How can I get it to work? Is there a specific app for Mac OS that can work this way? It will depend on the application, most of them just open a terminal window and say "voice activate". There are some applications that have no "playback" function, they just activate your voice engine. A voice recorder application could have a "rec" option that will open the voice engine if you only want to record. There are no easy ways to test if it's working or not.
