How do I reset my AWS VPN tunnel?
We know that, on some devices, there may be problems related to the VPN tunnel.
You can reset your VPN tunnel by removing the access point connected to the router and restarting it.
When you want to reset the VPN tunnel, you need to first turn off all the devices connected to the VPN tunnel. After that, on the router page, press Network & Setup> VPN > Turn off > Restart VPN: Note: When you have several VPN tunnels enabled on the router, you need to follow this process for each of them. Also, when you use a VPN tunnel with multiple subnets, turn off the VPN tunnels for all of them and turn it on again. Do I need to set up the VPN tunnel again after resetting? You can immediately connect to the new data network. It is not necessary to set up the new VPN tunnel again because when you turn off all devices connected to the VPN tunnel, the devices are disconnected from the VPN tunnel. When you restart the router, the devices become connected to the new VPN tunnel.
Can I have more than one VPN tunnel on the router? Yes, you can have multiple VPN tunnels on the router. You only need to make sure that the devices connected to each of these VPN tunnels are disconnected from the other VPN tunnels. How can I change the IP address of my VPN tunnel? It is not possible to change the IP address of your VPN tunnel because the device connected to the VPN tunnel has its own private IP address and the tunnel is connected to the device. However, if you want to change the IP address of your router and keep using the original IP address, you can disable the IPv6 feature on the router and then use a private IP address. Note: You can configure the IPv4 feature only. We cannot configure the IPv6 feature.
When the device is connected to the VPN tunnel, it cannot use IPv6. When it uses IPv6, you will be unable to access the Internet.
I'm trying to use my VPN tunnel but I am unable to connect to it. There are 2 ways to use your VPN tunnel: The first way is to set the IP address on the router to the IP address of your VPN tunnel.
How do I check my AWS VPN tunnel status?
I am trying to check my AWS VPN tunnel status by doing the following: ssh -i vpn.key ec2-user@mydomain.com
But the above command fails with this error: Permission denied (publickey). If you don't have the keypair that was used to generate the VPN connection, or you don't have permission to access it, you will not be able to log into the instance. You should make sure that you have permission to connect to the VPN. You can either manually create a new keypair for the instance, or try to use a different method of creating a keypair.
