Where is the cheapest place for an all-inclusive holiday?

For a long weekend, a few days and a lot of wine, it's surprisingly hard to beat a cheap all-inclusive holiday.

The price is based on a package that includes accommodation, food and drinks. Often you can get one for around 50 person per night and sometimes much less.

The only downsides are that the resorts may be overcrowded in the peak summer season - although there is a high chance of this at many places - and you don't have the flexibility to change your plans or travel without paying extra. As this is a family trip, we chose to go for the 'Family Pack' option which includes an additional child, two children under 12 and up to six adults. Crowne Plaza Maldives Kaihalifa. This isn't the cheapest resort to stay in, but we found it by far the most relaxed. The resort has recently been completely refurbished and looks fantastic.

The family rooms are spacious, and the private balconies have lots of space too, even if they are a little bit closer to the pool than some others. The rooms were recently renovated, making them feel more spacious and comfortable. The resort had two small pools and both were well kept and clean. There were plenty of sun loungers available.

There was plenty of food and entertainment on offer, and the poolside bar was very busy every night of our stay. The resort also had a spa, but weren't able to visit it as the weather was too hot. There's plenty of entertainment too, with trips to the beach, a waterpark, and the hotel itself has a mini golf course, a bowling alley, and a live comedy show. For extra spending money, you could spend time in the Watercube. It's an indoor swimming pool with loads of fun activities.

Crowne Plaza Maldives Kaihalifa is a good option for kids. In addition to these activities, guests can also use the hotel's beach club, the Beach Bar.
