What months are cheapest to go all-inclusive?

I think it's July and August.

What is the best time of year to go? We go in February or March. Where is the best place to be when you are there? I would say the beaches. What are your top 5 tips for making the most of your vacation? 1) Do as much research as possible. It's easy to get caught up in the moment but with a little research, you can find the best deals and make sure you know what you are getting into.

2) Make sure that you have a backup plan, if you get sick, lost your passport or need to change your flight home, have a plan. Make sure you have insurance and you know how to get home.

3) Have fun! 4) Don't forget to do some shopping in your destination. It's always worth it and can give you something to bring home with you.

5) If you are worried about getting sunburns, it's worth getting a little spray tanner before you go. I have been on some beaches and I have never got a sunburn. I think I am just lucky, but I love my skin colour!

What is the best thing you have ever done on holiday? I think I could answer this one with my honeymoon! It was a long trip and were so happy. We had some amazing experiences and it was such a great memory.

Have you ever been in trouble while on holiday? What would you do if you were in trouble? I would talk to my hubby or friend and let them know what was happening. I would probably call someone in the UK and try to get them to come pick me up.

Do you have a family history of travelling? Yes. Where did you go on holiday with your family growing up? We went all over Europe and we have been to lots of the Caribbean. How many times have you been on holiday and how long has it been since your last one? I have been on holiday four times and I have been on holiday since May 2024. When was the last time you had a holiday? How old are you? I will be 28 this year.

Is it cheaper to buy flights and hotel packages?

We are booking a holiday to Australia for our 8 year old son and his friend at the end of the month.

I'm not sure if we should buy all of our flights and hotel through a tour operator or would it be cheaper to go direct and book everything ourselves? Also we will be staying in Melbourne, Queensland and Sydney. Thank you for any advice.

Comments. I'll let others here comment on which they prefer but personally I wouldn't go without a tour operator. I'd be inclined to use a reputed Australian one as they tend to know the best value deals and are more likely to get you the best airfare etc. If you're travelling to two/three states you could just take an organized tour with a bus though.

You can save some money on an organized tour but you pay more for services like the airport transfers and the transfers in to each state. This usually results in you buying a separate return ticket for the final part of your journey back home which I don't think you'll want to do.

I would recommend against going without a tour operator. I've never used a Tour operator and it has always been cheaper when I have booked directly.

There is also the danger of missing out on getting the "right" experience. The problem is that it can be a pain to sort that all out.

For example, I recently booked a trip to South Africa. I had tried and failed before with that sort of trip. But this time, a local rep was able to book me into a safari in the Kruger park. But if he had been a poor salesman, I would have missed out on that experience. So I felt like I had the right experience, but just not the right tour operator.

If you're booking for a family, I'd recommend a rep that offers the best in flight & hotels for that group. Not everyone will want to book hotels close together or at high prices.

A few years ago went to France with our daughter & son-in-law. We booked directly with the tour operator and it was cheap because we had a lot of flexibility in our itinerary (we didn't mind driving a few hours to see something or to stay in a less expensive hotel). The only downside was that the tours we had chosen did not have the right tour operator (we ended up changing tour operators halfway through our trip).
