Why won't Chrome let me save as PDF?
I'm trying to download a couple of articles from the New York Times website, and Chrome is always telling me that I can't save it as a PDF.
Why is this? PDFs are best viewed using Adobe Acrobat or other Adobe PDF viewing software, but are still a valid format for browsers to save a document in. Chrome doesn't have any support for PDFs, but Firefox does (see here). If you are on Windows and have Chrome set to open PDFs automatically, you may have to open the PDF from Windows Explorer and then click Save as from the File menu. To set Chrome to open PDFs automatically, go to chrome://settings/content/browserdefaultpdfviewer.
