Why is my Windscribe not connecting to my Android phone?

Why is VPN not working on my phone Android?

I have been using the free version of the VPN to watch a few shows.

It worked great when I connected it through a USB plug to my computer. The problem is that since I bought a new phone I cannot seem to get it working on my new phone. I have tried the official app that came with my phone and when I plug it into my computer I do not see the connections that I am assuming is because the phone has not been recognized as being connected.

On the phone there is no way to connect to a network. What can I do to get the app or any other connection for my phone to be detected? Try creating an application to access VPN. Then follow the instructions on the link below: In fact you don't have to do this for the Android, but for the VPN server.

How do I reset my VPN on Android?

For those new to the VPN or unsure how to use them, it may be tempting to reset your entire network after the slightest bit of hiccup in a connection.

This is not what you should be doing. Not only does this break your network connectivity and prevent you from accessing anything outside of your VPN's network, it can even prevent you from accessing your home network, depending on how strict the settings are for your router/cable modem and your VPN server.

Reset the Internet. By resetting your network, all of the VPN network configuration settings are reset as well. Because some operating systems (namely Windows and Mac) require more steps than others, there will be a variation in how the VPN client will work in each particular OS version. You should always ensure that your network connectivity and connection to your provider are working before attempting to change your VPN settings.

Reset and Restart the Device. By restarting and clearing the configuration file and reloading it, you're wiping all the settings that the VPN service has stored to keep track of your account. By doing so, the system will force you to make another connection to your VPN provider. This can sometimes take longer than expected, depending on the circumstances of your provider.

Restore Settings Files. On most services, a simple click can clear your VPN's cache and re-create it. Some service providers will do this for you, for a fee. In general, when working with a VPN, be sure to always save the appropriate settings to a text document.

Reset to Defaults. Resetting your VPN might have a dramatic effect, depending on how your VPN network is configured. To make matters worse, a VPN provider may have been compromised, which means that all data connections will end up at their servers. If you did reset the VPN, you would just have an unsecure, unprotected connection to the internet. For many VPN users, resetting to default is a non-issue and only temporary.

Why doesn't my VPN work anymore?

What I did: I used the built-in VPN (which is named "Use your network") to connect to the VPN, which was set to 10.x

I stopped and restarted my macbook pro (it's been running for months now). I looked at the System Information No luck. I reinstalled and updated my VPN software. Still no luck.

I checked my network adapter properties, which are: My only other network adapters are: I'm in a university environment and we're supposed to be using VPNs. Can anyone help? This worked for me, and the problem was also that I didn't have any open ports on my router. Open the Network Preference Pane (System Preferences > Network). Click "Set up a VPN connection" (at the bottom of the window). Enter your VPN information, eg "10.1" for your local IP address Choose a security level, eg "Strong". Open the Network Preference Pane again (System Preferences > Network). Click "Advanced." Click on the box next to "Configure IPv4 Settings." Select "Automatically configure IPv4 settings when required". This should cause your router to set your IP address automatically.

Why is my Windscribe not connecting to my Android phone?

I have been using Windscribe for a while now and thought it was working fine until recently.

The last time I used my Windscribe I could see my phone's device connect/disconnect from Windscribe fine but since then I have no connection at all.

Any help would be appreciated! Here are the logs I have received when connected to the phone (I believe the date is in UTC): ) You have connected to a device with a unique identifier ''. Your username and password are: ) Welcome, . ) Your device is connected. To view your settings, please go to: ) Please enable network logging so that we can review the events that occurred on your device. ) Network logging is disabled. To enable network logging, please visit our network logging page and make sure you have logged in.

) Please select 'Settings' from the device overview. ) Settings are available via the following URL: The only thing different between the logs when the device is connected is the URL's. I've tried manually opening the URL, which does indeed open, but there is no option for log viewing, making me suspect that the application doesn't know the way to view the logs. Is there anything else I can do to get the application to open the log viewer?

Hi.e. I am still having the same issue. We have used a different android phone than the previous one, but the same phone has the same issue. And I know that it has nothing to do with my phone. I did the factory reset on the phone and it did not solve the problem.

The problem is fixed with a newer version of the software. I have updated it to the latest version from the Windscribe site. My problem was that I had tried to upgrade the software on my phone over the internet, but I was using the wrong version of the software. The old version of the software was trying to connect to a page that I didn't have (the latest version).
