Does changing DNS unblock websites?
I'm trying to unblock websites for my mobile.
I've heard changing DNS settings could do the trick. My current DNS is comcast.net/dns-01.custhelp.com, can I change this to opendns.com/dns-01. If so, do I need to restart my router or anything?
Yes, you should be able to switch your DNS to openDNS (it's free) and it should fix your problem. But what you're doing is a really bad idea. If you want to unblock sites, then go to your browser's options and select "Custom DNS" and enter in OpenDNS.
If you have problems with DNS, you need to ask the service provider.
