Why is the PS5 so cheap now?
Why can't it be more pricey like the XBone?
Is there any truth to the rumour about the development hardware for the new PS4 Slim is already in Japan by Sony? Will they use a cheaper version of GPU for the new one?
This question came on to mind when there was something called Ryuji Ishizaki appeared among the list of Japanese PS4 developers. Yes, the same person who made Ryzom 1 and now R3, now the name of his new studio was added as PlayStation developer. But what did he do this time after leaving Taito?
According to the website of his Ryuji Ishizaki, he also did a job at Sony. The About section of his Ryuji Ishizaki account is really interesting; he said that, before getting back to Japanese gaming, he worked at Sony. When I'm doing research for some reason, I came across this, although not knowing any other website that has a name similar to his name, I decided to look for another website called Ryuji Ishizaki.e. However, when I searched something like this in google, then I ended up here.
Now when it gets out from this website that this account was made in 2024, we can say this was the very first time. But the thing that surprised me was the description about Ryzom 1.
A while ago (almost 8 years ago) he worked for Nihon Falcom doing the Game Boy Advance edition of the Ryzom series which is the Ryzom: The Beginning and you could say he's the creator of those. Although no one has ever mentioned his name, he's often referred to as a character who's been behind the scenes since Ryzom 1. He also helped Falcom release PC Engine.
Falcom also has the Ryuji Ishizaki at their side because of the Game Boy Advance edition. Even on Ryzom 3, which is a remake of Ryzom 2, Ryzom was working on at Falcom. And on Ryzom 3, you'll understand why it was the Ryzom 1 that you played when you started to create your own Ryzom world.
If he didn't work at Japanese gaming giant Sony, it may be understandable that he wants to start a new project.
Why are PS5 sold out?
If you were one of the lucky few who managed to score a PS5 at launch, we're pleased to see you happy.
But what about the rest of us? What if you just want one, and can't get it? We've heard some people wonder why they are all sold out, and not a single one is available in stock. Well, you're not alone. There are several reasons for the demand for PS5 systems, and some of them are good and some of them are bad.
What's wrong with PS5 stock? It's simple: Sony is selling too many PS5 systems. There's no question about it. The company sold 2.5 million units of the PS4 at its launch, and this year the PS5 will be joining the fray in a new generation. Many of those 2.5 million PS4 owners are holding onto their old consoles, as there's no more space for new hardware at their homes. They're waiting for the PS5 to come out. As of this writing, it's not clear when that will be.
Why are you releasing so many PS5s? There are several reasons why Sony has released so many PS5s, and it has everything to do with that massive gap in home console sales. It was the most powerful console on the market until the PS4 Pro came out, but the PS5 is twice as powerful as the PS4 Pro. That means that it can run games much better than the Pro can, even if it's only a slight difference. It's the perfect time to get into the PS5 era, because Sony's first-party studios have been focusing on the PS5 since the PS4 launched in 2024. This generation was the start of a whole new era for Sony, and it's not going to back down from the PS5.
Why can't I buy a PS5? Because Sony has sold out. Now, it's not that simple, because not every region will be sold out. The US will have plenty of stock, and Canada and the UK will probably have some left as well. But for most regions, the supply is so low that we're basically talking about digital preorders.
Can I buy a PS5 with Afterpay?
You might be able to now depending on your location.
Afterpay is a handy feature of the online PS Store that allows you to buy PS4, PS3, and PS Vita games with as little as 2GB after you've spent 10GB. PS4 system-specific games include:
As a part of Afterpay you'll have to pay a total of 30 per cent after your total spend, but you can go as low as 1 per cent if you've already made that initial deposit. You can use Afterpay without being a PlayStation Network (PSN) member.
You can purchase an entire PS4, PS3, or PS Vita package from the PS Store (or a collection of PS games/content) and add Afterpay as well as the standard 10GB. The package price includes all the features except Afterpay, it's just the amount you're going to spend - so there will be no hidden fees included.
Can I Buy my Ps4 Games & DLC with Afterpay? Your location obviously matters here and not to mention some stores have limitations to how they carry Afterpay (not listed here). We don't recommend buying anything from GameStop - they only support Afterpay with an online order, in game purchases won't work with Afterpay.
Can I pay my PS4 Games and PS3 Game Online? Yes, there are a number of options for doing this, the online store has a range of services and you need to be aware of what they have before taking them up. All you need to do is sign up for a free account with the online store (you don't have to purchase from them), when you then make your purchases they will transfer the full balance over.
Can I get my DLC, DLC Add-ons, and Season Passes for PS4 in Store for Afterpay?
How much will the PS5 cost now?
The PS5 may be announced on November 10, but we already know how much it will cost at launch.
99, and Sony will reveal that price tomorrow, according to a report from Nikkei.99 should be the final figure. The console will be able to play games created for the PS4 and PS4 Pro, and will include the redesigned DualShock 4 controller. The PS5 will be able to use all of the current generation's games, but Sony has said that it won't support them. The console will also have a larger SSD than the original PS4, and it will use the new AMD Ryzen and Navi graphics chips.
Update: Sony has sent out an official confirmation to GamesIndustry.99 at launch.
