How do I know if my flight booking is legit?

Does CheapOair charge a service fee?

No, as long as you don't exceed the mileage fee listed in the schedule offered by your airline.

How do I get refund from CheapOair? All tickets have a certain period (called Refund Period) during which you can file a claim for reimbursement of expenses. Once this period has elapsed you are out of luck.

When buying the flight ticket with CheapOair, I can still use American Airlines Miles, am I right? Yes, you get 1K American Airlines miles with every booking. What travel agencies can I use? Travel agents are generally not our best option. We only sell one-way tickets and we cannot assist in any sort of ticket purchase by travel agent. Only in some cases will travel agencies buy multiple flights one itinerary. That is why when you click 'Buy Ticket' you see the pricing of the CheapOair service.

If I want to visit Mexico next month, am I charged for the service for other countries? Yes, just the same, it's an easy way to cut on the fees. Do I have the options to change/cancel my booking online? CheapOair's online booking service does not allow you to modify or cancel the flight once you make the reservation. If you want to cancel your booking, or if the fare drops below the price you originally paid, then you can call and the service can arrange a refund with no costs or fees attached. It is an excellent tool to use if you are looking for some last-minute airfare.

How far ahead I have to book? We do book several months ahead of time, but if you wish to book the day before departure or within days of your arrival date you are welcome to do so. What happens if weather makes plane travel unwise? Just like you would when buying the ticket via our website, on the phone with us or in a travel agency, we can help you obtain the insurance that is needed to ensure you can still travel.

Is there a class action lawsuit against CheapOair?

I have seen several cheap flights being advertised on here, but am sceptical as it always seems to be a group of airlines promoting it.

I have tried finding something about a class action lawsuit against them, but with no success. Can anyone help?

I think you are right, the airline companies should have a legal responsibility for what they advertise. Now I know this is incorrect. If you have any information regarding a class action lawsuit against CheapOair or any other travel site, please feel free to contact me!

The big problem with class actions is that the lawyers have to get a judge to approve that the cases can be brought together. CheapOair can still be a useful search tool - but when they do an ad which is completely wrong then they have had enough. I too have often received emails from these guys when I was looking to book a cheap flight. Their prices are sometimes more than what the travel agents offer and because they tend to work on commission they have no interest in making sure the prices are correct. In the end I have chosen to book my flights on Travelocity or Expedia because I trust their prices to be correct. That turned out not to be the case. I never realised I was paying such high prices for a third world travel package and just assumed the travel agents were being greedy.

This is the only way I can see that we can make a class action suit against a company like this. Otherwise I think that travel agents are on the side of the consumers and we need to look after ourselves and stand up for ourselves.

We are not asking for a settlement, we just want them to be more accountable than they are. How are we going to prove that this?

How do I know if my flight booking is legit?

Is it ok if they don't really tell me whether my plane tickets are a bargain or not or only give me some random discount codes?

If anyone has had any experience of flight deals, I'd love to hear all your feedback.

Hello, I've booked the flights through Jet Star, using promo code VV567E6AQ and they told me I saved more than the promo code discount is not mentioned in the description, which they usually would have mentioned. They didn't give me any further discount and after booking using a discount code, I checked online at a price comparison website - they had charged R100 more than me on Jet Star (they said there is no offer available) whereas before I was saving on their website - so what do you think? Is this good or should I move on to another website. Please help! Thanks

Thanks You probably made a mistake. Promotional codes are generally valid until sold out, whereas most airlines keep their promotional codes in general for a week-and-a-half to two months (or even less) after expiry. This usually means they give you a higher price when you book last-minute, while giving discounts when the seats get full up.

As to the actual tickets, I can see that you've booked through "Fly" or "Easyjet", both of which are well-known airlines.
