What's the difference between ACP and lifeline?
ACP is "Auto Call Processing" In other words, it's a service that automatically connects customers who dial a toll free number, to a live agent.
You don't have to do anything and your call gets routed correctly. The only difference between this and Direct Debit is that the payment takes place later, after your bank has processed the sale (direct debit is "on-us").
Lifeline is a product from one of our business partners, called "Auto Answer". This is a very simple service - they'll answer a customer's call and say "Thank you for calling ABC company. Press 1 for Sales, 2 for Service and 3 for Technical Support. Thank you for calling XYZ company. Press 1 for News, 2 for Sports, or 3 for Medical Information." This isn't any kind of service, really - it's an automated service provided by our partners.
I'm not sure why AT&T is offering lifeline services with their landlines. However, I could imagine that the cost of the service is so low that it's more profitable for AT&T to offer it as part of the landline package.
What can I use ACP for?
ACP is great for protecting your digital assets and business against cyber-attacks.
ACP lets you store your critical business information in a high-security environment that can withstand the most serious security threats. It protects you from identity theft, data loss, and financial fraud.
With ACP you can also recover your data from a cyber-attack in case you are no longer able to access it because of an attack or loss of network services. If you need to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information stored on your local computer, ACP offers a solution that combines protection and recovery in a single package. ACP provides the highest levels of encryption (256-bit), data recovery, and encryption keys management. What is ACP encryption and how does it work? ACP encryption technology is based on symmetric cryptography. To encrypt information, ACP uses a random encryption key for each file that is encrypted. If this key is lost, or if there is a change in the encryption key, the file cannot be decrypted. This makes it impossible to view the content of the file without the original key.
The key is available to the file owner only in the event of a complete ACP system failure, including a hard disk crash, or if the system cannot boot up because of a virus infection. In such cases, the key is needed to decrypt the file.
How do I create an ACP password for a folder? ACP folder passwords can be managed and enforced in two ways. Either by using the ACP client or by using ACP Server.
You can manage the folder access on the ACP Client by following these steps: Open the ACP Client. Click on the file system. Right-click on the folder you wish to secure. Click on the folder and select the Folder tab. You can select to allow the user to add a new password or to remove the current password. In order to secure a folder you will need to set an administrator password. The administrator password will be used to verify access and to enforce password changes.
You can manage the folder access on the ACP Server by following these steps: Open the ACP Server. Select the Folder tab.
Is there a way to get free internet?
I am using an ad-hoc connection, and I'm being charged by the hour, which is quite expensive.
Is there a way to get it for free?
You can't get it for free. The only way to do so is by getting a special access plan from your service provider, which is not free.
However, you should not pay for your own access, or you will be violating your ISP's Terms and Conditions. Instead, use their service that gives you Internet access as part of the package. This will cost you less and will also give you more features than if you were to pay for internet access directly.
There are, however, some services that provide the data you need to access the internet, at no cost, but they do not provide the access to the Internet itself. These are called proxy servers.
I suggest you visit to find one that works for you.
What is ACP Xfinity?
For Comcast Xfinity X1 customers who have not yet upgraded to the new Xfinity X1 or X1 Advanced service (available in late February 2017), ACP Xfinity is a free upgrade that will provide an additional level of personalized service for Xfinity customers with active accounts. Using technology called artificial intelligence (AI), the upgraded service includes automated capabilities to recognize and respond to your unique behaviors, preferences and interests.
Why do I need to upgrade my Xfinity service? Your online experience at Comcast has changed over time as you use Comcast's growing digital portfolio. More than 80 percent of Comcast customers watch TV on-screen and over 50 percent use online content and devices to shop, research movies and play games. By adding artificial intelligence (AI) to the Xfinity service, you can enjoy a personalized in-home streaming experience. The additional services provided by ACP Xfinity include:
Streaming video on demand (Xfinity TV VOD) using the X1 interface. An upgraded set top box that streams directly to smart TVs, mobile devices and game consoles without the need for a computer or other internet connection to the device. New apps on connected devices that let you browse, discover and control your on-screen content from your mobile phone, tablet or gaming console. More information on these upgrades and what they will mean for you can be found here: How can I access my profile settings and preferences in ACP Xfinity? If your account is not currently in the enhanced service portfolio, no actions are needed to access your profile settings and preferences. They remain unchanged until you change them.
To change your profile settings and preferences, simply sign into your account using any of the available authentication options and go to the "My Account" page. Select "Preferences." Once you have logged into your account, select the "Personalization" menu item and select the "Profile" sub-menu item. Then select "Preferences." You'll be able to access your previous settings and then use the left side navigation to choose your profile preferences. Once you are done making changes, you'll see the following message:
To view your latest preferences select All Preferences from the left hand side navigation and you should be taken back to your home screen. From there select "My Account" and then "Preferences.
