How do I change which device shares location on Find My?
After you've done a "Find My Device" with "Change this device's settings and privacy".
You'll get a message saying that the operation failed. There's a problem.
In which case, go to "Device Settings", then scroll down and click on the name of the device you want to share your current location with. Click on the button for that device.
The device you selected now says, 'Sharing (on this device)'. If you change location by some other means on the same device, this will not let you share it unless you go back to the device again.
Hope this makes sense? Sorry if it didn't. I'm trying to answer as many of the questions in one post as possible! I don't know if it helps but when I last did this in Windows 10 it failed on a Surface Pro 4 if it was ever turned off for any reason. The same happened on an iPhone X if the device was in DFU mode.
How to fix your windows 10 device without using recovery? The question was asked earlier to help others. What do I suggest them to do? If you don't know how to do a DFU reset on your device check this link for more information.
When the problem still exists, please follow the steps mentioned below for more information: Reset Find My Device. This solution is used when the original problem cannot be solved by following the steps for change this device's settings and privacy. A) Open Device Settings. B) Tap on Change this device's settings and privacy. C) Select Reset to Factory Defaults. Note: If you are not sure about what factory settings you can choose, here is a list: If you have another question or if you want to suggest a new topic, please contact Support. Thank you for choosing TechSpot! Hi.e. I think your question is quite tricky. I recommend you use "Search This Mac." The reason is that it will tell you which location it's found so you will know when it's been found. But first, I'll tell you a bit about why it doesn't show up in a device menu.
I use two iPhones and two MacBooks. They don't all have iBeacons.
How to track an Android phone from an iPhone?
Written by David E.
Shaw; Updated August 03, 2025 In case you lose your Android device or it's broken, you may want to track it from the iPhone that you use, which happens to be your primary way of communication and accesses all your data. Here are some ways to do that.
Method 1. Using iCloud (iOS only). This method is mostly free for the consumer market, but it requires an iOS device to work. You can sync all your iPhone's data with iCloud (Apple's cloud-based service), although you won't see them all at once, you will only see them after syncing for a few hours. If you have both an iPhone and an Android device, you can access your phone and messages from the Android device on the web using Apple's iCloud website. The iPhone's data is accessible by either syncing to your iCloud account or connecting to it through your computer, whether via cable or wifi.e. If you have the same Apple email account on your iPhone and the iPad, you can choose to use Messages as well. So, in this case, it's the same as using Apple's native Messages app on an iPhone.
How to download and sync your Android messages and other apps? This will make your messages go back to your device and any data synced on the cloud will be available to your new device. Make sure that your Google account is the primary one on your iOS device and then go to Settings > iCloud and enable it. Go to Settings > Messages and change your default message service to iCloud. If you're using a Mac, open the terminal and type sudo defaults write com.apple.pushaccountdontdefault -boolean true. Close the terminal and reboot your iPhone. Now, if you connect an Android device to your iCloud account (on the web, either via cable or wifi), it will be able to access any data that you have uploaded to the cloud. If you don't know how to get your Google or Apple account from your iPhone, follow this guide.
How to get the contacts from Android back to your iPhone without having to pay a fee? This step is different and it requires a little of your work. Follow the steps and you should have your contacts and data back!
Why is my location sharing not working on Google Maps IOS?
How to fix it?
I'm trying to learn Google Maps, and I understand the basics - such as that I can view my location on Google Maps on an Android. However, when I go to a website like this one (the location sharing section), there is no option to share my location on Google Maps, and neither do I have the 'share your location' button on Google Maps' home page. I can see that you need to be signed into Google to do anything, but if this is the case, then why am I able to share my location on Android but not on Google Maps for iOS? How do I fix this? Thanks. You have to enable Location Sharing on the Google Play Services App and the Google Play services SDK. Check out Google's Support site on how to enable the API.
How do I share my location from Android to iPhone all the time?
I know about Google Places API, but it's only an on-demand use of the places API. Is there any other way to share my location from Android all the time? On Android: Go to Settings -> Apps -> (your app) -> Permissions. Enable "AppOps". Select your app (usually the name of it appears below the settings button in the list). Enable "Allow access to location even if not in use". On iPhone: Open Settings. Select "Privacy". Select "Location Services". Under "Frequently Used" add your app. IOS will then remember your choice for when you use your app and when it doesn't. If the app doesn't ask for your permission to access location in the future, it won't be able to.
