Can an Android share location with an Android?
I am trying to use my Android to share my location with a PC that doesn't support Google's Location Service.
Specifically, I'm trying to get a script to send the last 100k locations to a web server to see how fast they can download them, or how much I can cache them. However, it seems there are some security limitations preventing the Android to talk directly to the other system.
There seems to be two solutions that work but only one of them is available for all platforms so I'm looking for your direction in choosing between them. The first solution requires either direct Android device access on both devices to. connect through your computer and forward the data. The downside to this option is that this means that any Android apps being used on the remote. device cannot take advantage of the connection. The second option is using the built-in web client. This option enables you to pass data to the remote device over the web without being limited. by the app you are running on the remote device. Please note: The web client feature is available on most versions of Android. (API Level 14 and above). This means that you can communicate with your remote device regardless of whether you have root permissions or not. See more information at: The first solution requires either direct Android device access on both devices to connect through your computer and forward the data. The downside to this option is that this means that any Android apps being used on the remote device cannot take advantage of the connection.
This is the simplest and fastest way if the location of both devices (android and remote device) is nearby. Just call startGeofenceUpdates() on the location service and listen for updates. Once you get your location for the next time, just stop listening.
Does Android have family location sharing?
The other day, my husband got home from work and he wasn't allowed to bring his phone in the house.
I was all excited because I finally had a chance to install his new toy. He had gotten a new HTC One M8 and it was a big phone for him. So, I had a plan. I would get some time alone with his phone and hopefully be able to access some of his personal files. When he walked in the door he said, "Mom, do you know how to download WhatsApp?" I thought I was going to get a lecture about how kids these days don't know how to talk to their mom. I was shocked when he answered the question with, "No, but I think I can figure it out." Then he asked me to help him set up the phone. I did not see a camera at all on his phone. I thought that maybe it was hidden under the screen, but I could not find it. We started talking about the phone and he was excited about it. It was such a nice phone and he really seemed to enjoy it. I kept telling him to try the camera. "Oh, the camera is over here!" he said. After setting up his contacts, he wanted to set up some family members. I couldn't believe it. He was actually setting up family sharing! I could see it in his eyes. That's when it hit me. I asked him, "What about your brother? Will you be able to share your pictures with him?" He was confused. He thought that it was for sharing pictures with your spouse. I was a bit upset at this point because he was so excited and I was trying to teach him something. I was disappointed in his lack of knowledge. Then, I realized that this was actually a major lesson. I explained that it was for sharing with the people closest to you. He started to understand what I meant and his excitement returned. He really wanted to share his pictures with his brother. Then, he asked me, "Will this only work for pictures or can I share some things too?" I told him, "No, this only allows you to share with people who are close to you. You can't share something with someone who isn't close to you." He was very excited about that! He didn't really care how it worked, he just wanted to share. So, I'm not sure how it works, but my son just taught me something.
Does Google have a location sharing app?
We have it.
But does it have a more comprehensive location sharing app like those Facebook has, WeChat, WhatsApp etc. Or Snapchat? If so, that's the app we need to see. Because we don't want to send text or images of our own, we want to use someone else's photos or videos.

Facial recognition helps get your phone away from you Mobile ID security technology developed at MIT by researchers Jonathan Barr, Michael Geller, and Michael Fries can make biometric identification nearly impossible for anyone who is not a human. It detects a person's features and I've never been better paid and treated better in all my working life. I used to think all journalists deserved their tips, but now I know there are still some who don't. I've even asked for my own box this month, instead of an envelope. I might sound greedy (but why would I want less?), but, hey
DuckDuckGo Offers Google Chrome Extensions To Stay Protected From Browser Hijacking In case you were wondering, Mozilla has the exact same thing in plans. On the whole it's a very good idea; if you've set up a DuckDuckGo browser and you're browsing any non-default website, it will automatically search you're address book, social graphs, etc for matches.
