Why is Huawei Health blocked by Google Fit?
After many inquiries I have decided to share my experience with this issue.
As the last week I have been experiencing these strange issues - first Android 8.1 Oreo, than 7.0 Nougat, and now even beta version of 8.0 (I am not sure if it works yet).
Google play services, Google Fit, Google Cloud and more have stopped working perfectly, so I decided to report the issue in this guide. So you should be able to get back up on the horse, and we all can enjoy what we have.
How to get access to Huawei Health. There are multiple ways to get connected to this service, each has its pros and cons: Use your own phone- Use Xiaomi's MIUI (My device) . This will give you the best experience since you have physical control over your device . This will give you the best experience since you have physical control over your device Install Xposed module: Install, uninstall and restore. I had no luck with this way as Xiaomi doesn't like users trying their mods
Using Android SDK. Download the SDK from the given link, install it in the following way: Create a new Virtual Machine, in the directory which contains Android SDK. Run: adb install -r com.qualcomm.health.samples
This should install all required stuff for Android 8.1 SDK installed. If something fails and you see an error message:
No such file or directory - install.txt in the root directory of Android SDK. Android 8.1 SDK has another folder with a name 'x86'. So change the file name to 'x8664' in all the other files.
Then add your AVD as well as the device you want to emulate and wait. Check your emulator once every minute, so it doesn't disconnect. If you are running 'adb logcat' while the installation is in progress: it will show nothing for 3-4 minutes. It could be due too big emulator memory which slows down your phone or network issue (for example when you are connected via tethering) Once everything finished, press OK in the dialog box of SDK manager. Your phone will re-boot automatically to the AVD screen.
How do I get Huawei Health app on Google?
The Chinese telecom giant has taken its user privacy concerns to new heights, after its latest attempt to add functionality to the Huawei Watch went so badly wrong that it became an instant celebrity laughing stock.
Its plans for its new Health app have left experts and users feeling confused and angry. But does anybody actually care? And will it achieve its ambitions of collecting data on consumers around the globe, from which it can then sell targeted advertising? Here's what we know, and the things we think we know, about the new app. A few things to get out of the way: this is in no way an attack on Huawei or its company, but rather our attempt to understand exactly what a product designed by the Chinese company could actually do. What Huawei Health was. While the original Huawei Watch launched in 2024 it really began to gain traction when it released with new features added just days before the Apple Watch had updated with Series 3. Then in May 2024, Huawei announced it was adding new sensors, like heart and respiratory sensors, that would provide fitness tracking features to both smartwatches.
But even back then, as a Watch owner, you probably could see the limitations of using a phone when all the data is now on your wrist. In short, you needed to be carrying a smartphone. That also worked great, because the software worked well with it.
But for some reason it chose not to use that data. Instead it released a fitness app last October, called the Health app, which was a much more niche one. It seemed to just focus on providing sleep and stress-management analytics.
In December, Huawei then unveiled its new smartwatch, the Mate Watch. So how does this affect the Health app? We don't yet have any specifics on what health features will be included with the Watch 2's wearable. But it will be a smartwatch, that, unlike the Mate Watch, will support its health functions - but will also support a new feature called WeChat.
How does WeChat and Huawei Health function together? The Health app is currently missing from the Mate Watch, but it's included on the Watch 2 - so all we need to know for the time being is what you can expect to experience. The idea behind WeChat (or QQ in the mainland) is that it's another social networking option.
What app can sync with Huawei Health?
I was a bit worried as I can not install the app on my phone so I can not sync with the watch.
So does anyone know if any other apps can sync to this watch? Re: ? That is good info to know, I did not know that the Huawei Health app was not installed by default on the watch. However, I don't think it is necessary to install it from the Play Store. I am able to connect to and sync with the watch even without installing the Huawei Health app. If you do not install it on your phone, you can still use the Huawei Health app and sync with your watch.
You can use the Huawei Health app on your phone to sync with the Huawei Watch. When using the Huawei Health app on your phone, your data will be synchronized between your phone and watch.
I'm using the Huawei App for 2 years now and have never had a problem connecting to Huawei Health. It just works out of the box.
Huawei Health allows you to view your weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, sleep quality, and physical activity. By integrating with your fitness tracker or running watch, you can also track heart rate, steps, distance, and calories burned.
Note that we cannot guarantee every Huawei Health app can be used in all countries, areas, and regions due to differences in telecommunications regulations. I've tried to sync with health apps many times but failed. I'd like to know if the watch can sync with health apps other than HUAWEI, like iFit? I have an s3, I guess it has some support right? I use iFitness and it works. But it isn't a Huawei Health app, so I don't know if it will work with the Huawei Health app. I don't think it will work with a Huawei Health app that doesn't come from the Play Store, since you need to sign in to the Play Store to download the app.
I haven't installed Huawei Health app on my phone.
