How did you meet your new government? Are you living happily? When will you become happy? one of them yelled. We don't want internet censorship, we don't want the internet censored. Freedom of speech isn't just foreigners but for Egyptians too, the man shouted. The crowd broke into loud chanting as a policeman closed the road behind them.

The video has been shared widely on social media, and a lot of people have been upset at the actions of the protesters and the police. Egypt should be the best place to live in but the government has caused nothing but chaos, nothing but chaos. I think they should look after the government, not the people. Egypt needs strong governments not weak governments. Strong governments should protect the people not attack and steal from them. This is how a lot of Egyptians have felt towards this situation.

While there is a lot of support online to take part in these protests and voice their discontent, there are also fears that people could get hurt by being beaten up by the police or physically attacked by some of the protesters. Also, some people are worried that they may be banned from filming these protests on their phone cameras.

There was a lot of confusion when the video cuts off abruptly. It's not clear what happened to the group of protesters but one of them was heard saying they had been arrested. This was not confirmed, but some are speculating that the group of protesters may have been arrested. At the moment it's not clear whether this is true or not.

What is DNS in simple words?

A Short answer to the above question is, DNS is a part of Internet that is responsible for converting human readable domain names like www.somedomain.com into an IP address. It is similar to the thing that maps any human known addresses such as 10.11.2 to an actual physical address on the internet. A very simple analogy can be made by considering DNS as an online directory which provides the connection between IP addresses and domain names. The Domain Name System (DNS) is the only mechanism that makes an Internet connection possible.

What is the need of DNS? Today most of the websites require internet connectivity. In order to access a website a computer has to search for the IP address or host name of the given website and connect to it using appropriate protocols. This is because a computer will not be able to connect to an unknown IP address or host name. Let us see two cases of accessing website through a smartphone.

Case 1: You are browsing your preferred news site through a smartphone and you are interested in a particular news. But when you type www.abcnews.com in the address bar, you get an error message saying www.com not found. This is because the DNS of the internet is not able to locate www.com at the required location of IP address, as the server hosting the www.com could not be accessed.

Case 2: You are planning to book a flight ticket from XYZ airlines website. The next step is to put the required details in the respective boxes. So in order to do that, you have to put XYZairlines.com in the field Flight ticket domain, however, DNS of the internet is not able to find XYZairlines.com and thus you end up with a blank.

DNS was created in 1988 and now it is the foundation of internet as we know today. Most people don't even know what this DNS really is. Is DNS Made Easy a protective DNS service?

The other day I mentioned my interest in DNS Made Easy.

It's a free service (I think) that allows people to register their domains with them, and give them total control over managing DNS records on all those machines. That was the original idea, but the real killer feature of it for me is that they have a really nice GUI to do this stuff out of. So I registered an account there, and set up the first few entries I wanted in there. Now I'm working on getting mine set up.

But there's something about their UI that really pisses me off. I have to be pretty good at typing to make it as quickly as I want to. But, while I've registered a few domains with them, they still don't have the recordset from my main domain setup. As far as I can tell, they're having trouble finding it. I've seen this happen before--we have a really complicated registry set-up, and they just can't find the right records. They're not that hard to setup if you know what you're doing. And to me, their whole idea is based on having it very easy to setup records with a GUI. So, what are we supposed to do? Do we set it up ourselves or trust some outside service we don't really understand? They talk about their plans to improve that sort of thing, but no release date yet. This means either waiting on a beta or paying up. Well, it's cheaper to do my own, I guess. At least, it's how things work around here.

Anyway, in looking for another service that would let me have some DNS records automatically manage when the DNS server is upgraded or moved, I came across DNS Made Easy. They want users to pay to register a record that's just a list of where you want these servers to go, because they're more or less independent. If you want one of these servers to go at IP address 'A' and one to go at 'C' then they do the recordset with the new IP addresses, and you're done.

Except, you can't get into a DNS Made Easy page without it wanting to sign you up and get your credit card info. How cool! Now all my domains are totally covered by this security system, and I know I'm safe! Isn't it great!
