Why is my VPN not working on my Fire TV Stick?

Is there a way to use a VPN on my Amazon Fire TV stick?97 from the Amazon marketplace and I can't seem to use it on my TV or computer, it works fine in mobile devices and I am not getting any connectivity errors. I searched online a bit and saw some articles saying I have to install the VPN on my PC and then log into the device but I see no option like that. This is the product info:

What is this all about? Why did they sell me this without any instructions on how to get it to work? Anyone else have this issue? Can anyone help me out? I'm not sure if I have missed some instructions somewhere or I am just doing something wrong. Thanks for your time and help! I would love for someone to look into this, but first I must find out the answer myself. So far all I have found is a product called IPVanish. They're the only ones who make this device that I have seen, and as far as I can tell, they are the only ones making these Fire TV Stick's.

How do you connect the remote to the device? Is it on the home screen when you turn it on? If you click it (the app) it should show a screen like this: There are two options, Connect and Sign In. To connect you just click on Connect, then a popup will come up where you can choose if you want to be connected via wifi or Ethernet.

To connect via ethernet, I believe you will need a patch cable (it's really easy to figure out if you google it), so basically it's plug in your ethernet cable, and plug in the Fire TV to your router. To connect via wifi, you'll need to download the latest version of IPVanish (which is in Google Play) from here to your Fire TV. You can find out how to install apps from a Google Play webpage.

If you click on IPVanish, it will give you the options to Sign In, Connect, or Delete.
