How many servers does Psiphon have?

I'm just curious.

I'm sure they have them, but I'm just curious.

I believe Psiphon is a US company, but their servers are in Toronto. That said, I think it's fair to say that their site is probably the best-optimized website for Tor. They don't need to do anything with the exit node itself. They're just making sure that everything goes through their servers.

If you're interested in the technical details, you can look at their server status page. Here's what I found: Psiphon's servers are down for maintenance. According to my local network admin, they've had this problem before, but it doesn't appear to be a regular issue. So for now, I'll have to use a VPN or use a different service. I'll let you know if their servers are back up. Update: They're back up. I'm glad to have access to all my content again. I'll give a short write-up on their server status page here. Psiphon's servers are up and running, but they're experiencing some problems. According to the status page, the problem has been fixed. They're back up and running. As usual, I'll let you know if they're down again.

What is the IP address of the Psiphon server?

We don't have access to the server, but we are able to see the IP address from our computer.

It is a private network address. What is the address of the Psiphon server? Thank you. It's a private IP address, with a different number assigned to each user. If you connect to Psiphon, you will see a number that looks like this: xx.xx

Simple to setup and use. Doesn't need to be a domain. Can be run on a home computer. Supports multiple IPs per user. Will work on every firewall. Can be password protected. Can be set up to auto-start when your computer starts. Cons: Doesn't support multiple users or groups. The benefit of this software is that it will work on every firewalls. It is super easy to set up and administer. It only takes about a few minutes.

Which is the fastest server in Psiphon Pro?

Is there any official list of servers?

I want to host a file share in Psiphon. But the problem is, no matter where I host my file share, Psiphon seems to be faster on some servers but slower on some servers, which one is the fastest server? Thanks! For now, it's impossible to know which server is fastest or worse in Psiphon Pro. You're limited to making guesses based on your own observations. The problem is, different servers and users have different connection speeds, so no one server is going to consistently perform faster or worse than others in all cases.

If you know how many users are on each server, you can create an "averaged" list of performance figures for your server as compared to your peers. To do this, you can just create a spreadsheet with a bunch of entries that look like "Number of Psiphon users", "Psiphon speed" and "Peers speed".

If you want to go the extra mile, you could measure how long it takes to reach a certain size before you start timing performance. For example, in FileShare mode, I'd measure the time it takes for 25% of users to connect before I start timing Psiphon's speed. You could also measure the load time, since the more users you have on a server, the more requests your server will have to handle simultaneously.
