Is Freenom shut down?
I'm a long time Freenom user.
I'm also very interested in the Freenom 2.0 plan, but I was wondering if this will be a complete shutdown of the system, or just a transition. I don't use the web interface, but I love the features and simplicity of the Freenom app, and I'd like to keep it up and running in case they ever come out with an official app.
I see no reason for Freenom to shut down. They have a nice little business model working right now, and even if they don't get as much traffic as they're expecting, they can still continue to operate with a new app. But if they do decide to shut down, it's going to be a long time before anyone is able to get their data out.
The way the business model works right now is that they sell your data to ad networks, who pay them a commission for ads served on your sites. If they don't make enough money, they simply stop paying the ad networks. This works fine as long as there's enough traffic to justify the expense of keeping the servers running and paying all the ad networks, but if traffic drops off too low, they have no choice but to shut down.
In order to keep operating while maintaining a viable business model, they need to take on new clients or increase traffic to existing clients. For example, they've offered an "unlimited" package to large companies who want to pay for ad network access. It's doubtful that they'll get enough clients to offset their losses from a more or less complete shut down.
As for how long it takes to export data, I have no idea. There's no way to tell how much data they have stored, how much of it is in temporary storage, and what their current rate of data loss is. I know there are a lot of people who have created groups of pages, and exported them all at once. I know a couple of people who have exported entire sites at one time. So I can only guess. But I think it's safe to assume that it's a long time.
While I agree with you that freenom is probably on its last legs, the biggest problem with this theory is the lack of any official statement that Freenom is shutting down. I tried to find any such statement on their website, but I couldn't.
Is Freenom safe and legit?
I am just curious to find out if Freenom is a scam?
I have been using it for months now and it has been very good. I know they have all sorts of problems with it, but I was wondering if you guys think it is safe and legit? I have no idea who the "Freenom" company is behind freenom.com, but I have used them and the email address they give is not a spam email address, and I have never had any problems with the web site. I would say they are fairly trustworthy.
I will add that you can use other methods to send email messages in bulk and they are safe. They do not need to be purchased or added to your account.
If you don't know how to send email messages in bulk then the free program MIMEsweeper will come in handy. This will help you find and remove spam messages that you send.
Also, the email message you send will be sent from your own email address so it is easier to prevent spam messages from being sent from your address. If you use Yahoo! Mail you can use this feature.
I have just recently been using Freenom. I have found it to be very helpful and would recommend it to anyone who needs to send emails quickly and in bulk.
Freenom is definitely a scam. I've tried it, and I've also tried emailing from gmail, and yahoo. I used to send from yahoo, but it never worked. I'm really glad I didn't pay for their service. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use their service.
I don't recommend Freenom to send messages in bulk because it only allows 3 emails per hour. So if you have a large list of emails to send, you're going to be wasting time waiting for 3 emails to be sent before the next batch can be sent.
I have recently started using Freenom. I must say, I am pleasantly surprised by how well it works. It is much faster than other services, and the quality of the email messages I have received has been excellent. I have also not had any problems.
I was actually talking to someone about their service today, and they recommended I try it.
Is there any alternative to Freenom?
I was wondering if anyone knew of a free alternative to Freenom.
I use Freenom on my iPhone and it works great but the problem is that it does not work on android (at least not as of the time of this writing).
I would be willing to give a donation if there is one available, I am not too interested in giving it to Google for free. Re: There is no free alternative to Freenom yet? There are tons of options if you want to host your own website. Here is a list of just a few: Namecheap. Domain.com GoDaddy. Hostgator. Many others. They all provide a range of services from domains to hosting to email to web design. You can host your website for free or for a small fee.
One of my favorite free sites is I have been using it for a while now and they are very easy to navigate. It has many features, including a free domain name. I get many emails for new domain names and I like the fact that I can add them to my existing domain.
Another good option is to use Namecheap. They have a lot of domain names available for free. They also offer a range of services from domain registration to email and hosting.
I would like to see more domain name suggestions from a community member. Hey! You said you were willing to pay if there was an alternative. So I made this. Hope you like it:
It's a simple, clean, secure and free DNS. I don't charge for it since I'd like people to have the best service for their money.
Thank you for the work and I hope to see a lot of people using it instead of Freenom. "A man's got to do what a man's got to do." - Robert Jordan Nice work! I will definitely try it out. I did find a way to edit my Freenom DNS settings by editing the config file. I didn't realize that I could do it but it does work.
